Thanks Goldie
This time of year is always the same - absolute madness and usually coupled with some illness (though I've only had a bit of a cold this year).
Catch up soon.
MCIMortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016
Mortgage No 2: £82, 595.61 (31.08.2019)

Just popping in to say that I managed to straighten all our financials out over the weekend.
Nothing as such to go into the fund except: £14.49 £co and £4.24 interest from the account for October.
Still spending on the rental, though not too much to do now. As soon as this is done then more savings will start.
Hope everyone well - up to my ears in it all over at the moment.

Suffering with a bit of a cold at the moment - came on during the night - just enough to be annoying and draining - just what I need when I've got so much on.
Working hard to keep the food budget down this month - mainly eating our way through the freezer - desperately need to add something to the fund somehow.
Nearly put pain to that last night when I felt so rubbish when I got home last night and it would have been so easy to go out - I had even sailed past Herr A without going to do my shopping and didn't even realise till I was nearly home!!!! But, I was good and we had LO Sausage Casserole from the freezer made into a pasta sauce with some tomatoes and some whole wheat pasta. Note to self: Must go shopping later!
In fact I have a money off voucher for Mr T, but no real need to buy any shopping from there, so going to look for some Xmas presents as they have some good offers on at the moment and I'll get money off! And I can do my food shopping at Herr A - 2 stops on the way home isn't my idea of fun...but heyho!
Smoke alarms and fire blanket bought for the rental and praying for nice weather over the weekend so I can get the back door painted - we only need to clean and get the fire fitted and that is all we can do for now. There is a need for some stair carpet, but we are waiting till we have been inspected to see if the bedroom and dining room will also need carpet and then we can get it done all at once (plus applicable certs). Really can't wait for this to be done and dusted then we can start saving properly again.
Tired and fed up with it all at the moment.
Work is tough and DHs job is possibly going to have some changes (though we don't know what yet - could be a drop in money - but will cross that bridge when we come to it). The dark mornings and evenings are not helping either and I feel like my get up and go has got up and *******d off! (or gone away to be polite!)
Hopefully with a good night's sleep with no pesky alarm to wake me up in the morning I will feel better tomorrow.
Paella on tonight's menu and having a second go at HM Pizza tomorrow night (without cheese especially for DH).
Hope everyone is well.

Happy New Week!
Feeling alot better - not great but better than I was.
Did some Christmas Shopping and redeemed my voucher at Mr T. Heer A shopping done too.
Found some Clubcard vouchers when I was tidying up on Saturday and I have approx £41 to spend on Christmas Shop (happy days!)
A couple of changes to the menu over the weekend because of not feeling good and visitors coming - but all good.
£20 added to the kitchen fund via DH selling another piece of Memorabilia - at least there are some deposits going in there.
Couple more jobs done at the rental over the weekend and we have filled in the form we need to in order to get the property inspected as a possible lease opportunity by the local authority. Forms also filled out to get a copy of Registry Title and Plan for the rental - I've got the plan somewhere, but the final Registry Document was not sent so getting copies to save having to turn the house upside down. I really feel that we are moving towards completion on this now (especially as I am in competition with a friend who is just buying a cottage to rent out and we are racing to see who gets theirs done first!)
On a completely different note - have just booked tickets to see The Force Awakens on 17th December - how excited am I :rotfl:
Small things to look forward to are becoming more and more important...

Ooh, hope it all goes well!
PS. Is Mr MCI able to take lactofree cheese? I have a friend who is lactose intolerant but she can use that?
I'm having to avoid cheese at the moment (gallbladder acting up - cheese has been my downfall I reckon, alas). It's blinking hard doing without it. I love pizza too, haven't had one in about two months, woe.a penny picker upper. Me too!
Thanks PM for the idea of laco free, but the thought of it now makes him fee bad, so he won't even try the lacto free stuff - it's a shame really, but it makes you inventive when it comes to cooking - he's ok with a bit of milk and a bit of cream so things are not completely dairy free but cheese in any format is a big no no
I find that I don't eat as much either now because of not buying it - it's only if I go out or buy some parmesan for spag bol.
Cheese free pizza is quite nice - not the same obviously, but maybe you should give it a go.

Just had DH on the phone.
Inspection went well - hardly anything to do. They are going to advertise it from next Tuesday to see if there is any interest (they don't think this will be a problem).
They were very impressed with our house as the condition it's in knocks the spots off the others that they have in the area.
Haven't got to get carpets, so ALOT of money saved there. Electric fire from our house is going to be moved to the rental and the the gas one will come to ours.
They will do the gas, electric and environmental certs for us - another time saver and hassle factor fixer.
Really pleased, fingers crossed for interest and swift occupancy...
