  • AGM went well and I was home by 8.45 - so not as late tea as I thought.

£15.93 spent in Herr A last night and only 4 items to buy from Mr T tonight. Really liking being back into meal planning - using the old fashioned method of a notebook instead of a spreadsheet and that seems to be better as I carry it round with me.

Tonight's tea isn't LOs! Marinated Tuna with spiced rice and stir fry veg.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

  • £3.97 spent in Mr T - nice!

Spending diary updated this morning and the grocery spend stands at £121.02 - not bad! And that includes wine (though we have cut down considerably!)

I must have been having a blonde moment when adding up our house fund as I checked the balance this morning and I am £133 out! It's DHs regular deposits that throw me and must have missed other things too - the pennies were right, but the £'s not so.

Didn't sleep very well last night - work on my mind - really should shut it off and think about something else for the weekend - that's really not fair!

Going to do something nice tomorrow as DH is away for a couple of nights next week - don't know what yet and don't know if it's going to involve money - but we will wait to see what the weather's doing and make a decision.

Still need to book our free night away and going to see if we can book our free meal for the same time! (Might have already said this - probably being blonde again - and I am allowed to say that!!!)

Tonight's tea is a bit of a cheat - Chicken with garlic mushrooms (not home made for a change), cous cous and veggies - thought I'd be easy on myself after such a hectic week and more to follow next week!

Hope everyone is well and hoping that everyone has a great Saturday.

Such a tempting shop. But managed to resist apart from a couple of new sheets. Great inspiration there.

  • Decluttered bathroom cabinets. One bag recycling, one bag bin. Extra shelf now available for towels.

Off to the flicks with DH today as its cold and dreary out there. Might also go for a snack ;-).

    Happy Sunday folks.

  • Flicks and small snack paid for by DH! Yay!

The weekend went too though - still wanted to be decluttering.

Doing the same at work - trying to get rid of all the little things today so I can concentrate on other stuff.

Been thinking about Pensions pots...our pension review will be coming around soon and I am anxious to see how much my potential pot has grown by and if the Chancellor decides to give us a bigger tax allowance so I can add some more to my monthly contribution.

Still no news on dividend - if we are having one we should have it at the end of this month.

Pleased with our progress on the house fund and hope that we will be able add any proceeds from decluttering sales to the pot!

Veggie meals for me over the next couple of days as DH is away on his course. Tonight I will have wholewheat pasta and sauce using up bits of veg in the fridge and lashings of cheese (which I don't normally have because of DHs intolerance).

Charity meeting later - but all prepared, so all good there.

Well done on the decluttering and fingers crossed about getting proceeds from the sales.

I hated doing my recent eBay listing binge, but I'm liking the money that's come in from the sales

  • Thanks Goldie - going to be looking at different ways of selling, ebay, facebook, car boots - when I've got stuff together I can decide what can go where and what can be donated to charity.

Not much to report...tough day today:mad:

Tonight's tea will be Veggie Tagine, Quinoa and HM Falafel - I think the cat is out of luck for any leftovers :rotfl:

  • Couple of extra things:

    - Meter readings done for new fuel supplier
    - The decorating bill for Mum's is much less than first anticipated - here was me thinking it would be more because of all the extra they did and it actually came in cheaper at £335,

Cat was disgusted there was no meat on my plate. Enjoyed it though - very tasty.

Tough day at work, or in general?

Also, how big is your freezer? Amazed you're still eating Christmas food!
