Did you manage to get any Christmas shopping done? :)
  • Did you manage to get any Christmas shopping done? :)

    Hi Ed

None yesterday, but planning to do some this lunchtime!:)

  • So, went to b00ts at lunch and ticked 2 more presents off the list
Also got one of dhs last presents apart from £land stocking fillers. Also got stocling fillers for 2 others so all told a good shopping trip
Made even better by the fact i paid for 3 presents using my points saving me £ 25.

Found some stray frying steak in the freezer that made a nice stir fry tonight.

Got one of my plastic boxes back last night so I have used it to sort more baking stuff as was my original intention with it.

  • Energy switch is complete and I should have a total of £83.70 coming back from SSE! Yay!

Just need mum's to complete now - but I know she is going to have a bill of about £500!

Will have to speak to DH about what we are going to do with the money - I think we should split it - treat ourselves with one half and save the rest. The cashback we will get in March(ish) will be saved.

Feeling a bit lax on the lunch front at the moment - this tends to happen on the run up to Christmas - I get fed up! Had noodles today, but my colleague was going to KFC so I have ordered a burger from there - naughtly I know, but I really fancied it.

Tonights tea will be chicken & bacon roasts with roast potatoes, veggies and gravy - ideal for cooler evenings.

Hope everyone is having a happy hump day...where are the days going!

  • Tomatoes on toast for lunch today - delish!

Got a heavy week ahead going out - out Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (but prob not for food) and Saturday - so short mealplan this week.

Forgot to bring my 50ps with me today and also forgot to put my prescription in on the way home last night - will have to do it tomorrow now as they shut early on a Thursday.

Still selling raffle tickets - got two more places to go - hope I can get a few more ££s. My suppliers have come up trumps £30 arrived yesterday and I hope I have another £60 on the way (cheque is in the post with the stubs).

Herr A shop tonight and will be buying tea - flavoured crumbed fish in pitta bread with salad and wedges - fancied something fairly light today.

Friday tomorrow - hope I can get some more presents from Mr T tomorrow.

    Happy Thursday.

No money news as such - got some shopping and running about to do on the way home.

    Cleaning the house tonight.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

  • Monday again.

Quite a spendy weekend with getting the Christmas Tree and lunch out on Saturday - thanks to my savings pot for accomodating me :)

Out again tonight with my cousin - oohh the jet set lifestyle - really enjoying it though :)

Still need to bring in my 50ps so they can be paid in - will be getting paid again soon (early this month); so will be doing the money shuffle early.

Early indications are that there is a bonus on the way too:) Fingers crossed.

Hope everyone's Monday has gone well.

    Fingers crossed. X
  • Heard some more rumblings about bonus today. Should know before the end of the week.

Lovely meal out last night - not too expensive either!

Batch cooking spag bol and cottage pie tonight and then DH can decide when he gets back from Welshpool (got to drop some stuff off to his mate - so won't be back till 8.30ish).

No more money news really - just waiting with baited breath for news on the bonus.

Bit more Christmas shopping to do, but feeling a bit more relaxed about it as I think I know what I am getting. Need to make a food list too.

Hope everyone's day is going well.

The sun is out here, but its cold!

  • We had spag bol last night when DH got back. Another meal from said spag bol frozen, plus a base for making cottage pie - felt too tired to do it all.

I need to make a list to make sure that I get everything done - loosing control a bit and have also lost motivation, so:

Pop to garage over the road to sell raffle tickets!
Pick up prescription from the Drs on the way home.
Go to post office to buy multi-vouchers for the raffle 1st prize.
Go to £shop to get DHs stocking fillers.
    Finish writing cards for work.
Write cards for local friends and neighbours.
Pick up orders of presents from Mr T (Friday)
Wrapping (Friday - DH is out).
Food shopping list and food shopping (Sunday)
    Regular household chores, washing etc...

Plus, I am out tonight with a friend (need to wrap her present when I get home); out tomorrow - Carol Service and friend's 65th Birthday; Raffle Draw on Saturday - going to the pub for breakfast and then we will make the draw - out on Saturday night too; Monday afternoon I need to visit my Aunty.

Phew, months of not going out much and it seems to have happened all at once.

DH has the next two days off work, so he will hopefully get a load done so he's not stressing.
