  • Juggled some money from one account to another this lunchtime and updated my spreadsheet in readiness for payday.

Have filled in my premium bonds form (at last) and will be posting that on the way home.

Also done the Society Lottery Form for the Charity and sorted our Electrol Roll registration (as it was long overdue).

Fighting back a cold at the moment and trying to keep it at a manageable level...need to get the weekend out of the way first...

Tarragon Chicken for tea tonight and an early night...feel shattered.

  • Going to do some of my big shop at Mr T tonight as I have so much to do the next few evenings for the fundraiser on Saturday.

We have been invited round to our neighbour's house for tea on Saturday, so after the hard slog of the fundraiser it will be nice not to have to cook. (that will be three days this week I haven't had to cook proper meals).

Plan for tonight is to ice my mini christmas cakes (and feed mine) - have made holly leaves and berries and some christmas trees to adorn.

I have filled my form for the claim back on my dentist treatment. they usually come back really quickly, so that will be £47 back in my account soon.

Have been on the hunt for people to buy raffle tickets and I have spoken to two of my suppliers who will sell some for me. Also, my friend's daughter (who works for a big company) is going to sell some at work. I am going to bring some to work next week and collar them too. Must get onto my family too. I really don't think we are going to sell them all, but we are going to have a good go - minimum I want to raise is £300 (£500 to be had in all).

Payday tomorrow and I will my bill for recent clothes purchases - then we will see what's left over.

Tonight's tea is Lamb Chops and any veggies I can find in the fridge.

Happy hump day everyone - didn't that come round fast.

  • Happy Friday everyone.

I have done the money shuffle and added £398 to our House Fund.

DH had £120 in his bank account that is ours. His Mum's loan has finished now, but she is still paying into DHs bank account every week - so he will transfer it to me - seems a round about way of doing it, but at least I can keep track.

Most of the shopping done - good job as I have a massive evening of baking tonight.

Hoping to get off a little early so I can get home and get started.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

I'll be busy tomorrow, but looking forward to eating at Polish Neighbours house on Saturday evening and having a bit of a chill on Sunday.

  • Busy weekend and I am absolutely shattered. Not sleeping again - but just trying to get things straight in my head and I am sure I will be back on track.

Fundraiser was a hard slog, I hope, in the end it was worth it.

Polish food was lovely Saturday night - but had to go home at about 10.30 as my back was killing me - pity as it would have been nice to stay longer.

Another busy week ahead both at work and at home. Have written a list and I must get it all done.

MSE-wise - need to count up penguin pot at some point this week as I am positive we are over the £20 mark now.

Tonights tea is Thai Salmon & Prawn Noodles.

    Hope everyone is well.

  • Ended up doing seafood pasta on Monday as DH went to !kea and was late coming back, so went for quick and easy.

Cleaned fridge out - last night's tea used up alot of veggie bits and bobs in a sauce to go with Turkish Style Meatballs.

Tonight is posh sausage & and mash - doing my best to do easy meals as I am still very tired and still lots to do.

Have done some internet shopping this week for presents and they are on the way! Need to check off my list to see who I have got left to buy for.

Got to sort the charity accounts this week, just need to put stuff onto spreadsheets for the accountant - it isn't as much as you think - the accounts are less than the average household! Two lunch times and they should be done.

Raffle ticket selling is going ok, still a long way to go.

Our work's christmas do this Saturday (all paid for by the company) including an overnight stay in a hotel in Birmingham - so DH and I are going to take advantage and go early and have a wander round the Christmas Market after having some nice lunch somewhere. Wow, some time together!!!!!!

Not much on the MSE front really - still got to count them 50ps!

    Happy Wednesday everyone...

  • Ok, I've just been informed that DH has transferred the money his mum had put in his account to our Joint savings. He has also upped the money going in by £100 per month which at the moment is to be replaced into the House Fund.

    So, I need to add:

    £50 regular payment
    £120 extra payment
    £100 repayment

    £270 in total

    MSE news after all.

    Off to update signature.

  • Phew!

Its been a busy few days. Work has been manic, been sorting charity accounts, Work's Christmas Do yesterday and managed to get one present from the Christmas Market in Birmingham.

Have counted up my 50ps and I will be paying in this coming week.

Last charity meeting of the year tomorrow and need to do minutes and run payroll before then, but will still have things to do like file a/c online and sell more raffle tickets before I can fully relax before Christmas.

Going to make an effort to do some Christmas shopping on the lunchtimes this week. I think I am further ahead than I think - must check speadsheet. Got a feeling that its just kids that are going to mainly be sorted now.

Just chilling at the moment - exhausted after works do - not used to late nights and had a snooze when we got back - lazy I know, but feel a bit better now.

Hope everyone is ok and that your weekends have been good.
