Hi. No cheque as they are not charging vat. (Saving £500 ISH) get a guarantee still.
Took one of my male colleagues to the bank with me. Felt fine really, surprisingly.

Going out with my cousin and her husband tonight. Going to our favourite Italian Restaurant.
Failed slightly last night as we spent £10 on goodies for tea and stayed in and played scrabble (at least we didn't go out!). I am so useless at this - score of 202; DHs score was 349.
Chicken Fried Rice has now been moved till Monday.
Will be making Chicken Soup at the weekend for lunches next week.
Nothing really on the money front.
Wishing everyone a fab weekend.

One more step forward on the preserved lemon front. Was walking back to the car yesterday past our disgracefully small market (such a shame) and I saw lemons! 5 for 50p - so bought 20!
9 fit in my 2L kilner and the rest will be used for fundraising purposes (might get some more in a couple of weeks).
DH is going to look at cars today, so day to myself to get on with stuff - intend to get the following done:
- usual washing and tidy up - done
- retrieve the final tomatoes from my baskets - done
- plant autumn bedding plants in pots and put out the front
- make up preserved lemons - mine done - need more salt & lemon juice
- sort out 1.5kg salmon fillet bought on offer at Mr T - done
- prepare chicken soup ingredients (can't cook it properly as forgot to soak the soup mix - so job for tomorrow - at least prep will be out of the way) - done
- go and get the water tank jacket for my mum or shall I do that tomorrow?
- sort out some of my baking stuff (still minus small ikea boxes - still none in stock - will keep checking the internet) - done
- pop up allotment for an hour while its relatively dry (will still need wellies though) - started to rain
- pop to mums and inspect windows! - done
It was exciting watching the guys replacing mum's windows yesterday - they are coming back Monday to finish off and Wednesday to replace 2 panes that cracked.
Mr N power switching pack came yesterday - Direct Debit will be £77.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Chicken bones should be bubbling away in the slow cooker by now - ready for me to make soup later.
Tomatoes picked yesterday are on the window sill for final ripening.
As long as I don't have a meeting tonight, I'm going to pop to IKEA later as they have one of the sizes of boxes in that I want (still no small ones though!); plus may pick up some kilners for fundraising purposes.
Extra sea salt, lemon juice and Mum's water tank jacket is a job for tomorrow - got a feeling going to be a bit pushed later.
Mum kicked up a fuss that her bedroom window didn't have a central bar down the opener (I can't remember her telling me she wanted one) my brother and I had a terrible day with her, but we came up with a solution and I have run it by the window man this morning - OK and no extra cost! Phew...was really stressed for a while.
Got some trouble brewing with our niece who just had the baby - the father is being argumentative and says that he's going to stay at his friends house as HE needs HIS sleep...begs belief!!! (he doesn't work!) - this could really kick off.
Hoping things will settle back down again; can't cope with things being up in the air again.
Really tired today, was awake at the dreaded 4am again, but tried so desperately to get back to sleep - started to nod off about 6.15!!!!!
DH still hasn't found a new car and he's had a virtually sleepless night trawling the internet - he feels really frustrated and fed up.
MIL wants to stay at home alone this Christmas!!!!- but she has asked me to ask my Mum to see what she wants to do before making her final decision. Feel a bit put out as now I don't know what to do - I'll just have to ask mum and see what she thinks.
After everything I was still pleased with the amount of stuff I got done yesterday (before everything went pear shaped!) And I am hoping to continue to get things done before my week off and then I may actually have a chance of completing my list!;)
Tonight's tea is the re-scheduled Chicken Fried Rice.
Had a brain-wave and have written this week's menu plan on the notepad on the fridge freezer - hope this helps me keep on track!:T
Weather is awful here:mad:...hope everyone is ok.:)

Hi MWC, I don't eat much bread (can go weeks and weeks and then maybe have a sandwich) and I don't really like toast (again, odd I know) but... if I do have toast the crusts would always be my first choice, funny really as I've never thought about the impact it has on staleness
