So, we (friend and I) booked our Charity Christmas Arts & Crafts Fair yesterday for 30 Nov. (and stayed at the pub for a glass of wine each - well deserved!).
Final total for Macmillan was £214!
Gift Aid stuff has come through from HMRC (haven't seen it yet - just been informed) - one less phone call to make.
Nothing happening on the MSE front at the moment, not even £co! Pay Day next week.
Going to purchase mincemeat and cake fruit later.

Phew...what a week.
Seem to be working my way through the list and it does seem to be working keeping a tab on here.
Couldn't do my shopping at Herr A last night as they had blocked off the carpark and were not letting anyone on?????
Went to Mr T and got baking supplies 3 for 2 for me and my friend - hoping they have got a stock of flour back in as they were cleaned out yesterday.
Going to my cousin's triplets school tonight to a firework display - only £2 each to get in and all funds are to the school.
So tonight's tea will probably be something from the fundraiser.
Busy day tomorrow sorting charity stuff and going to see mum. Still got a boat load of apples to peel - need some for chutney and mincemeat. Job for when I'm watching strictly tomorrow.
Happy Friday all.
Have a good weekend.

Maybe they had made enough money for the week :rotfl:.
I thought that:rotfl:. But they were open again on Friday.
2lb of prepared apples in the freezer. Mincemeat marinating away. Lemons soaking.
Asked Mum about Christmas and she initially said no too! But when I said that my brother wanted to come and that my MIL was coming (even though she hasn't confirmed yet!!!) - she changed her mind and said that it would be nice. Next job will be twist MILs arm to come!!!
Windows are finished at Mums and she is happy:j.
Extracted some large veggies from Mum's garden yesterday - 12oz carrot and a 2 1/2lb turnip - Dad would have been pleased.:D
Times are confirmed for our Christmas Arts & Crafts Fayre and will now start advertising like mad! We have a fundraising target of £1000 this Christmas (before expenses); we have 3 events and a raffle; so fingers crossed.
Have set DH a challenge about Christmas...we normally have a stockingful of presents in the morning and our main presents in the evening.
In the interests of MSE, I have said that the stockings we have in the morning should be filled with just things costing £1 or less with a maximum spend of £10 - presents must be useful, funny or edible.
He is up for the challenge :T and indeed thinks it is a good idea as we have pretty much bought each other everything and it will be a bit of fun!
We really need to bring our Christmas spend down - we do spend one hell of a lot of money on other people. I have brought the food spend down over the last couple of years and with the stocking idea, hopeful brought down the spend on each other's stuff. Now to make the list and set the budget.
But I don't want to be too organised in October:rotfl: so that will be next weekend's job as we tick into November!
Hope everyone's weekend is going well.

I'm sure they will make the world of difference. I sealed the gaps around ours yesterday and even a small fix like that has made a change for the better
Congrats on the outsized veg - what is your secret?0 -

Really don't know about the veg...just planted seeds and left it. For some reason, the veggies in my Mum's garden have just gone well this year - pity Dad wasn't here to see it, but I am sure he would have been pleased.;)
Too right about the windows. Mum's were old, drafty and ready to fall out. Hoping it will help with the astronomical fuel bills too.

Mincemeat made and lemons for fundraising purposes sorted (6 jars).
Popped to Mr T near my work at lunch to get petrol (as I was rock bottom and wouldn't have got to Mr M) and the see if they had any flour on the 3 for 2 deal - YES! result!
Charity meeting tonight and I need to get the minutes of the last meeting done quickly when I get home.
Lots of charity tasks this week:
1. Order Raffle Tickets
2. Sort out new banner, leaflets and business cards in time for our fundraisers
3. Put our Christmas Fayre on Stall Finder
Both Mums are coming for Christmas - will be a suck it and see situation as they have only met 3/4 times in the 18 years DH and I have been together. My Mum wants to get to know MIL better (Dad always got in the way) - but we will just have to wait and see how it goes. Relieved and nervous all at once.
Busy at work today.
Catch up with diaries later.
Freezer surprise for tea tonight!
Hope everyone is having a good Monday - sun is out here!
