    :rotfl:

Must have missed it! Quiet night in for me and the cat watching strictly and maybe just one glass of vino to celebrate her return;)

3.22am Yes, its stupid o'clock again. Came downstairs for a drink and cat cuddle - then made the mistake of picking the laptop up. Going back to bed now me thinks.

  • I have managed to order some new jeans, but no new suit! My first option didn't do a petite version and the second choice was sold out - boo - trouble is I like the fit of the suits from this store - will go in-store and see if they have anything my size. I don't seem to be able to spend money on myself - something always gets in the way. Gone through quidco for my order, so will get a miniscule amount of cashback.

Have had a quick look through the freezers and made a few notes (haven't had alot of time), but there isn't as much in there as I thought. Been formulating my menuplan as much as possible, but need to do a full inventory to complete.

Forgot to say that managed to de-clutter the dreggs of a bottle of martini on Friday as I used it in the rissotto instead of wine!

November will be full of meals that I can make lots of and freeze half - need lots of quick and easy stuff for the run up to Christmas as its always SO busy.

DH is really not keen on doing Mum's roof - it has really stressed him out. I have promised that I will get a quote from a company and see how much that would be. However, today he has rung me to says that he's sorted the scaffold should we need it for a bargain price of £50!!! for a week!!! (sometimes its who you know) and he's figured out what he needs to do to secure a tall narrow scaffold to ensure safety - so the contingency plan is coming together. (Helps that he is a Health & Safety officer).

I hope that his stress levels will start to come down, he's been really upset this weekend and this does not help with trying to put weight on him (6ft 4in and only 12 stone at the mo).

    Turkey Stroganoff for tea tonight.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Loving the sound of the Martini risotto - I'm sure you gave DH an extra large portion. He does sound like he needs a bit of feeding up

    Have a good Tuesday :)

Thanks Ed - its a good alternative to white wine in any dishes.

DH has lost 1 1/2 stone since January - hasn't even tried. Combination of being unwell, finding an intolerance to his favourite cheese, stress and bereavements.

    Must make more cakes...:rotfl:

  • Catering supplies ordered using £5 voucher (plus 3 presents).

3 tops bought using vouchers I was given for my birthday in March!

    Prescription MUST go in tonight.

Need to get bread on the way home (DH had crusts for his sandwich today!)

Tonight's tea is Sea Bass with Cherry Tomato, Lemon, Chilli, Basil and Caper Pasta. Cherry tomatoes are a mixture of red and yellow from the garden that have been ripening on the window sill.

  • I forgot to mention yesterday that I won £25 on the premium bonds! That's the second one this year!!!

Decided that it could go towards my new party shoes that I have bought:o Was going to split it, but sod it - haven't had any new things for ages.

Prescription has gone in and blood test booked:eek:

Got a meeting at the Church where our charity is based later (yawn) - only going to stop an hour, so will prepare the dinner and get DH to cook it ready for when I get back.

Tonight's tea will be Lamb Chop Dinner, Roast Veggies, Roast Potatoes and some sort of green veg (providing the veg bag I'm having delivered has some in!)

Nothing more on the MSE front - but we have broken the back of the working week! Yay:T.

Mr MWC eats the heels/crusts first which means that the rest of the loaf goes stale quicker

How annoying. DH usually has them for toast when there is nothing else.

  • Mega quick update.

Been down the bank to get the cash out for Mum's windows (she has given me a cheque).

Think tonight's tea will be Chicken Egg Fried Rice.

Very busy - proper update tomorrow.
