Busy day today. Just having a cuppa before I blitz the kitchen, tidy round, disinfect the floors downstairs ans put the washing on.

Then up to mums to sort out electric bill, see the Window man and generally catch up with mum and bro.

Come back home, put more washing on, sort autumn plants into pots for front of the house, bit of charity work and then up to catch up with friends.

If I have time, I'll pop up the allotment and plant a few kale plants that arrived on Thursday.

Phew and then in my spare time...

Salmon in cream and dull sauce for dinner.

Look at that, my day was so busy I posted it twice (that what comes from posting from my phone!)

Didn't get all the jobs done unfortunately as Window man was late - very late...good job his price was FANTASTIC! So difficult not to snap his hand off when he rang me later with a price.

£2230 for 8 windows in rosewood to match the bay at the front they had done a few years ago. I think that's an amazing price - especially as five of the windows are quite large.

House blitzed at home and did some decluttering in the kitchen, thanks DH for your help!

Going to try and get a few more jobs done today, but also need a rest.

Hope everyone is having a fab weekend.

That does sound like a wonderful price. Is that PVC stained rosewood, or actually made from wood?

Also, is kale easy to grow/supposed to be easy to grow? I ask as I really like it and would consider growing it one day. On the other hand, it's so cheap to buy in the supermarket that it might not be the best return on time?

PVC Stained Rosewood Ed...going to ring and book that in.

Can't answer you about the kale as its my first attempt - got them covered up at the moment as don't want wood pigeons to have them!

Works out cheaper than supermarket - but you need a fair bit of room to grow them as they need to be planted 2ft apart!
