  • Lovely meal out last night that only came to £28 including 4 drinks (3 of them DHs - 2 x wine and 1 x coffee), not bad at all and all delish...

Need to get some sweet chilli sauce and some bread rolls on the way home.

Clear evening would be nice to get some more digging done...we will have to see.

DHs niece has been admitted to hospital with high blood pressure and the baby's heart beat is really high - they may be inducing her today - so I am on taxi stand by should I be needed.

Instead of straight foward sausage and mash tonight (as we had that friday) going to make a sausage casserole tonight for a change - spicy sausages, so should be interesting.

Hope everyone else is well on this the hump of the working week - its all down here from now on.

DHs niece has been kept in hospital, but things seemed to have calmed down enough for them to just keep her under observation and possibly induce her on Sunday instead. Fingers crossed.

No allotment - had some letters to do for the Charity.

Sausage Casserole was nice - enough left for another meal with pasta - so have frozen that.

£2.19 spent in Mr T last night and £1.78 this morning...

Herr A shop later - need to check menu plan to make list.

    Crab Spaghetti for tea tonight.

  • Happy Friday everyone.

I am afraid that we fell off the wagon as far as unplanned eating out is concerned.

DH fancied a steak last night - so we went out...whoops.

My logic is - he's not been well, he's lost weight, so if he fancies steak in a nice environment then we shall have steak (except I had Lamb & Mint Pie). Was delish though and had a good evening.

No more eating out till next month.

£13 at Herr A last night - just 5 items on the shopping list for Mr T tonight.

Definately having the Crab Spaghetti tonight.

  • Busy weekend sorting out fundraising stuff for next weekend and a good trip up the allotment yesterday.

10 x 6 ft patch dug yesterday (usually takes me 2 evenings) and DH had made some good progress with the greenhouse.

Large courgette, 4 tiny potatoes, a few runner beans and a punnet of raspberries picked.

Turnips and Rhubard picked at Mum's too.

Lovely slow cooked beef brisket for dinner yesterday - MIL wasn't well, so she told us to sort ourselves out so wanged the beef in the slow cooker whilst up the allotment.

First time I've done this and it worked out perfect...really pleased.

Need to sort out kitchen and all the vegetables when I get home tonight. I hope I'm not too tired as I was awake at 4.30am again.

Nothing really on the MSE front.

Chicken and something for tea - probably Tarragon Chicken.

  • Good and bad news yesterday.

I became a Great Aunt:jwhen DHs niece gave birth to a 6lb baby boy at 1.30 yesterday afternoon (not a bad weight considering 3-4 weeks early).

Not so good - I had a melt down last night - just think it was tiredness catching up with me. Kept making silly mistakes, dropping things, thought I ran a red light:eek: and then scalded myself on the kettle thus spending most of the night with my arm in a bowl of cold water.

I was a bit upset, but did manage to blitz the kitchen and make tea.

Congratulations Great Aunty MCI! Hope mum and baby are both doing well.

After all you've coped with this year it's not surprising it's catching up with you in this way.
