I think 3 and Vodafone allow voip over 3G

the others do not - have to use wi-fi

I think 'facetime' is something else not skype

Apart from 3 and Skype, the other networks do not allow VoIP apart from on their top mobile broadband tariffs usually.

At present and at £150 nothing better than SF next step is £300.
But with the new Samsung Galaxys S 2 the IPhone 5 and new Android due out any time soon expect some older models to take a price drop .

if you dont want any fuss or headaches, i woundnt buy the San Fransico. its of cheap build quality and a mountain of known faults

Thats the first i have heard of a very large number of faults .
Care to let us know what they are in case its just a question of RTFM as faults so often are .

Orange San Fransisco is a good one but it comes with Android 2.1 and I heard that it is not easy to upgrade it to 2.2.

You better wait few months to get HTC Wildfire S. It is similar to Wildfire but better screen resolution. Wildfire only now available for £130.
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

As standard they're fine. 'Faults' may or may not develop when you start installing source built ROMs, or ROMs created from other versions of the phone from Asia though. In which case you've brought it on yourself.

Known faults sound more like not custom rom .
Be interesting to se if the poster can back his mountain of faults up with facts .
