Late even for me! Happy Birthday nic1lou2, hope you have had a good day!
Redruby - glad to hear that your Dad is glad to be home, the rest will have done your Mum good too. Hope it continues.

Not much OS here, just the washing which is hung on the rack. Had to go to the doctors for a check up of the coil, asked about having it removed but she wants me to hold on for a few months to see if things improve (incredibly tender boobs!). Also asked about my wonky arm which turns out to be tennis elbow, possibly caused by the wii! Tablets for me for a while to see how things go.

Looking forward to DD coming home on Friday, hope to get her better soon.

    Take care all. XX

    Evening all,

Hope that you have had a good birthday Nic1.

Its been a lovely day here....cold morning and evening but sunny and warm during the day....I even went out and cut some sticks for kindling, was nice to be out in the fresh air, have left the clothes out on line overnight as they will be nice and fresh to-morrow.

Had a bit of a raid on my wardrobe and disposed of all too small or unwanted clothes to charity shop....also got rid of hat I bought for DS1's wedding in 2000....has been in its box under my bed ever since, can now put my other suitcase in a plastic bag and put it there.

DS2 was home from London at weekend and cleared some of his clothes from his own house....the wardrobe in one of my spare rooms is now half full of his stuff....he has been in UK for a year so why does he need to hang on to this carp??? Men!!

Dinner to-night was haddock, mixed veg and hm wedges, enjoyed it and then spoilt the whole lot by having 4 mini packets of maltesers....if I could manage to do so physically would kick myself.

Ruby....glad to hear that things are going well for parents....with increased help they will be able to live independantly for longer, I am sure.

Twink, nice to see you and hear that all is well.

Had a bit of a disaster with bread I made this afternoon, think that mix had been around too long, if it turns out that BM has gone for a burton I think I will try the no knead bread as I can't stand the feel of sticky dough....another loaf in now won't be ready for another hour so can't judge yet.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is playing up a bit, so having to 'ration' the amount of knitting I do, so if anyone is in N5 and hears an almighty row, it will be DGDs 1&3 complaining that their orders have not been delivered on time.

Snowdrops are just finishing their flowering, lots of primroses and crocuses in bloom and daffodils and tulips just coming, forsythia is also in bloom, must give it a good trim when flowers have gone as it is very 'leggy' and could do with bushing out a bit....cheers me up though to see the colours.

    Hugs to all

    Uni assignment is finished :j

Vertigo is back with a vengeance :(. Felt rough yesterday, but today I was nauseaous from the moment I got up and still feel it now :(. It's made worse by driving too. Luckily I only have to drive for work tomorrow, and i'm only driving me not the kids. I'm on a course in my normal office Thurs/Fri so will walk in. I've made Dr's appt for monday as I can't keep feeling this bad. Odd thing is that I felt much better last week <insert confused smiley>

I realised today that I haven't used my car in 10 days :D I now bring my work's minibus home so have been popping to shops etc in that on way home from where I'm working currently so haven't needed to go out in car, plus stayed in all weekend doing uni work. Saved me lots of pennies in petrol :D

OS wise - ahem, what's that?! :rotfl: :o

    Have a good evening all

Thank you for all the birthday wishes. I must admit I had been dreading it with all the recent events with OH but actually I have had a lovely day.

DD's, my DNiece, my Bf and I all went out for lunch to Raymond Blanc's Brasserie and it was absolutely lovely and he does a fantastic bargain lunch so only cost us £18 each for 3 course, including wine and the tip! Have had several bottles of champagne too (people seem to be buying me this as a theme present - do they think I am turning to drink lol)

SO I apologise but absolutely no OS today - I will have to catch up tomorrow as I have the rest of the week off.

Thanks again for the good wishes - you are all so lovely
