...If you haven't seen FB this pesky cat did reappear when H went calling for her up the garden at 7.30pm. I think she'd gone exploring into DS's infant school grounds (it's at the end of our garden). She's clearly finding her feet <rollseyes> Shall cease to worry about her and I am going to train her to come to the sound of a rattling food packet ;)...

My cats have always learnt to do this - brings new meaning to the phrase "Go-Cat"!

    Afternoon all,

Day two of the diet going well. :) Just had delicious HG salad leaves for lunch with cucumber, red onion, tomato and sunflower and pumpkin seeds and some feta. I feel all summery eating salad, and find it much easier to diet when there's delicious stuff like this to eat.

Scrubbing the kitchen today, and cleaning the inside of the windows.

Glad to hear your wee dad is doing much better Ruby, sounds like the rest has done mum the world of good too. :)

Happy Birthday Niclou, hope its a lovely day and your spirits are up. xxx

    Back later.

    Hello all,
I've been lurking for a while and would love to join you lovely folk.
The weather here is truly spring like, though last night was quite chilly so had to bale DS's bedroom window out this morning. I picked some daffodils yesterday which were just showing colour and today there're in full bloom - just right for St Davids day :T So for the first time this year the house has windows thrown open, flowers from the garden and a spring glow. At last!

Right I must get my act together and get out into the garden. Pruning to do and Frogspawn to move - why do they put it where it's going to be left high and dry??? The 2011 'love fest' seems to be over or perhaps its turned too chilly. The croakathon went on day and night for days, it all seems so quiet now they've stopped.

    Bye for now.

bitseybeans, i commend you for doing shred! it kills me! but no doubt it'll be worth it when you've got thighs like gillian :D

I am only on level one and that's killing me!!! Bloomin' hard work  But although I've never liked her approach to people on Biggest Loser (I am more of a trainer Bob fan :D) I do like this DVD. It's quick, I don't have to worry about being motivated by sh!te music and it only cost £5 to buy :D Other DVD's I've bought in the past took an hour at least and were boring as hell. This is painful but it's over pretty quick :D

Kitchen nice and clean, pushed the duster round dining area. Made a loaf of bread, still no baking :o

DS has had an allergic reaction to something. We think it might be his Batman costume cape and he likes to wear it naked and be "Naked Batman" - don't ask ;) Anyway that's being washed and he won't be allowed to wear it without clothes again. He's on Piriton so looks knackered so didn't send him to school today.

All of you saying how nice it is......not here it isn't. Grey cloud, bloomin' freezing again. Although it did snow the day I was born which is 13 days time so I guess spring isn't necessarily going to come this way any time soon :(

Okey dokey need to hang up the washing and have another coffee. Enjoy your afternoons :D

suzid - welcome to the daily :D

    Afternoon all.

Got up early this morning as we had an electrician round to do an electrical check (rented house) so as I thought he might want in every room as I was wizzing around like a maddie and got so much done in an hour and a half i really surprised myself.

    Bathroom cleaned and bleached
    Mirrors cleaned
    Upstairs hoovered
Clothes in our room all put away
Kids beds made and room tidy
Washing done and hugn out to dry and another load in the WM

Electrician came and went then I popped out to Gr*gs for lunch and took it back to bed with a hot water bottle to watch some telly.
Back to work for me tonight so I then slept for a few hours.

Up now but not planning on doing much. Dinner tonight is steak pie, totties and veg. Will take a couple of ham rolls for lunch (lunch is about 2am).

OH is off for the next few days so I can just come home in the morning and slide right into bed and not worry about getting the kids to school or home from school :j

    Afternoon everyone

    :bdaycake: NicLou

Well been enjoying the last few days of sun, before braving Blighty again. Several layers will need to be worn me thinks ;)

Packing started, food use up doing nicely. Arranged a Chinese Night (at the cheapy Chinese tomorrow). Travelling home plans slightly changed due to DS now going home over the weekend, as he feels he needs a "homely weekend". He has also offered to make a Sunday Roast for us, and get the shopping in so we will get home late Saturday/early Sunday now. No doubt we will be coughing up for the cost though!!

Had a quick swipe and swish round today, will have to do a bit deeper clean tomorrow, though dusting seems to be a little pointless as it will be back when we return.

    Chicken wrapped with bacon tonight.

    Take care all - DG

Mummysaver- insurance for young ones is horrendous. My DS2 is 21 and bought his own car in October and his insurance in £:eek:1600. I want him to have his own car, and he honestly is a careful driver but to help him out I have reduced his board. Its catch 22 cos he works for his dad and can't work without a car so we have agreed he can live here cheaply whilst his premiums reduce as he gets older, we are wishing his life away but no easy solution.

2nd day of working with DH and thank god he is back out on the road tomorrow. He is not a bit organised and has paperwork strewn here there and everywhere, honestly he so faffs has drove me mad today:mad:

Made meatballs for tea and cup cakes with buttercream but far too much buttercream, can I freeze it do you think?

That's the 2nd time I have used baking made easy and the quantities seem to be all over the place, it was supposed to be for 12 cupcakes

Tonight will be football chez Julie and DH has promised to paper the fireplace to brighten the room up for summer. I do love him really:rotfl:
