I'm justrunnimg it again as I had to delete it, to try and install the other software, looking at it so far it has picked up 3 infections already. I wonder how it didn't last night. I'll post the log as soon as it's done. Should I remove the infected files before posting the log?

    Thanks

Rebooting what? How do I do that?

Worry about that in a bit. MBAM might suggest it , but lets look at the log first.

ps reboot is restart, old man talking here when computers had bootstrap loaders. When you stop and calm down about your problems search wiki ;)

When you say it was a manic weekend,do you mean because of the above "thing" ?

It seems to be everywhere ? I got the damm thing this am,on Hotmail................went into safe mode and Malwarebytes squashed it.............but I just wonder what the hell is going on,is this another falling down by Micro$oft and or should we all be using Firefox or something?(I'm using IE8)....anyway good luck to anyone who's aflicted............

PS,since this am, I have downloaded a few more MS patches and Ive been back on Hotmail (I only mainly use it for "rubbish" emails)and every things seems alright...........however all this is a bit disconcerting...........?

Hi again, doing well girl , hav not too much knowledge of how we are doing, [STRIKE]but I assume you are still in safe mode, [/STRIKE] Ignore that it's normal mode, I will have a quick look but I ain't the best :D. It may help others if you could post your hosts file to see if there any redirects on there so go into command prompt (You're XP so)
select start , run , and paste this in please
    notepad C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\HOSTS

this will open up notepad on your hosts file
then copy and paste this on to here too please, and the you can close that, thanks.

WIll have a look at the HJT now log now, mind you tired old eyes etc.
