    Just had a shower and I now smell gorgeously of Moringa body butter :D

    UUs Wash & Go shampoo - WIBA? maybe, but I've got a couple of other 2 in 1 shampoos to use. I think I may have to alternate these with separate shampoos and conditioners because my hair tonight feels floppy :(

    Replaced: battered old body brush with one that was in the cupboard

    Replaced: pumice stone with one that was in the Elle McPherson set I got for my birthday.

    welcome niccci :wave: - no buying for 10 years wow! that's truly impressive discipline you have, I have a tendency to get bored with something and end up using more just to get it used up -which is not very MSE of me!

    welcome back rosemary - glad you had a good holiday

    And so because generally I've got things under control (all thanks to a year and a bit of doing this thread) - my stash now fits in a small toiletry bag - and because I'm finding it hard to keep up with this thread - I will love and leave you and report back for duty later in the year.

    Thanks everyone and remember - be good :A

    wow mineallmine, well done on getting your stash down, do pop in and 'see' us from time to time and make sure we're behaving ourselves, z5.gif

    I have a uu - lancome bienfait moisturiser (15ml gwp)- used as foot cream as it had discoloured and I didn't want to chance getting more spots - my skin thinks it's 16 again as it is!

    also opened the cowshed freebie from Marie Claire - knackered cow and reeeeeeaaaaally don't like the smell of this so it has been relegated to use as a foot cream.

    Morning all

    I'm still off work ill with vertigo :(

    This week I've had:

    - 2 UU's - 1 x travel shower gel and 1 x travel conditioner (used as shaving lotion!)
    - 4 OUTS - I gave away 4 x Clinique Liquid Facial Wash's to my friends as she was disappointed not to get one with her Glamour mag. I had a stash of 6 from previous GWP's and I don't like it so gave her most of them :)
    - one IN - hair dye, but that's allowed!

    Also started one of my body scrubs - avon chocolate one - they are my nemesis as I never get to use them up, but quite like this one!

    Our first 'graduate' of the thread! :T We need to celebrate this! _party_ I think we should start a list of 'graduates' on the first post of the thread, along with their graduation date and perhaps we could also put the number of items they have used up, if they know and want to advertise the fact?

    I thought I would post on this thread as I have finally reached a milestone!

    A few years ago I posted this on the thread "Using things up vs declutter" in May 2007:

    Well, I am FINALLY on my last shampoo (although have quite a few bath/shower products still to go)! So the prediction of using them up by Christmas was a bit off...

    Since posting that, I still haven't bought anything, but have been given lots of toiletries as gifts and friends have off loaded their hotel finds and freebies on to me as they know I use them!!! My 'problem' is, is that I don't like waste and I can't say no to free things! This even applies to shampoo that isn't great quality (actually, quite rubbish), that male friends won't even use because it doesn't do anything for their hair, but I'll still use it!

    I'm not sure how long my final shampoo will last as it is a Lush solid shampoo bar (which I will be buying again as it leaves my hair in great condition, is economical and is more ethical due to its lack of packaging. But I am really starting to crave choosing my own toiletries now!

    And so because generally I've got things under control (all thanks to a year and a bit of doing this thread) - my stash now fits in a small toiletry bag - and because I'm finding it hard to keep up with this thread - I will love and leave you and report back for duty later in the year.

    Total Items 63 / 34

    My goal is to get everything down to 2 / 1 or less :D

    I'm quite pleased as my 'items in use' total is over 50% of my total stash :T

    :cool:

    Mineallmine:A, Nicci44 :Aand sarah*a :Ayou are all an inspiration!!!
    I have just written down the total number of each item I have, and when you see the totals you will understand why I haven't written all the products out!!
    Maybe I'll get round to this next year when I (hopefully) will have less stuff :D

    Body Lotion = 48
    Shower Gel = 42
    Shampoo = 15
    Conditioner = 12
    FaceWash = 7
    Face/Body scrubs = 8
    Face Masks = 11 + 2 packs pore strips
    Soap = 24
    Hand cream = 10
    Foot cream/products = 13

    Perfume full size = 20
    Perfume sample size = 27
    Body sprays = 17

    Hair Products = 35
    Lip Balm = 13
    Moisturiser = 20 + 7 sachets
    Eye Cream = 8 + 5 sachets
    Self tans = 10
    Cotton wool pads = 6

    Lipstick = 13
    Lipgloss = 66
    Eyeshadow = 94
    Eyepencils = 22
    Nail varnish = 64
    Make up palettes = 42

    Well done mad_scientist -I know making a full stash list takes ages but it really has made a big difference to me. Also I found adding up the mls of each type of products e.g total mls of shower gel or body lotion helps. I know that I have about 500ml of shower gel opened in my bathroom and then have 1200ml of shower gel in my stash including travel sizes.
    If I only use 5ml per shower in a shower puff thats about 340 showers or alternatively using 30ml in the bath about 56 baths! I shower every other day and have a bath maybe every few weeks if that! So I really don't have to buy any shower gel for the next two years even though 1700ml does not seem that large amount. What an eye opener!

    P.S. welcome back rosemary - pleased your holiday went well - love to see your soap list aswell.:D

    I had fun and games in the bath last night. I went to get out to get a flannel and to put my book down but there was so much stuff in the bath it was slippery. I slipped and went flying, stubbed my toes on the taps and loads of water came out of the bath all over the walls, floor, my dressing gown and in the bin.:eek:

    The S&G face peel stung like hell at first so did the eye cream but they were both ok after a bit. My feet are slightly softer after the heel genius but it's going to take a lot to get them silky soft i think.:cool:
