Glad you had a nice holiday rosemary - but shame about the smelly man on the plane. This is the one thing I can't get my head around. He can afford a plane ticket & holiday, clearly has a passport but still can't wash?? I work with some kids who struggle with getting clean clothes as their home life is kaotic so they can smell but its not their fault. I know that homeless people can also struggle too but both situations you can understand why but a guy going on hoilday?? Well not unless he has some underlying medical condition I suppose...if not they why??? Ugh!!

    Anyway...

Great stash list Mad_Scientist - keep on posting and sharing.

That is a great idea Pickle.

Nasty accident holly - that is the reason so many holtel chains do not even have bath mats in the bathrooms, as if they are not secured propery they cause even more accidents. McC29 is right.

I seem to be the only person on here that likes Cowshed stuff. Didn't buy the mag to get the freebie though as £3.50 for a mag that is full of ads doesn't appeal to me. Still to finish off reading the Glamour one but I am struggling as the acticles just seem irrelevant to me and the reviews are just "for you life to have value you must have this item/product now" attitude - which is why I stopped buying mags in the first place. Didn't think at 33 I was too old for the glossy mags but maybe I just am :rotfl:

Just read my post back to me and what a right rant I seem to be on today - must be because I am about to go into work. Lucky them :rotfl:

kaz great news that your drains are finally sorted! It's such a pain when they're blocked.

holly I hope you're feeling ok *hugs*

trudij and others Thanks for the comments on my nail varnishes. I probably shouldn't be proud of it, but I do love my nail polish collection. It's nice to be able to choose a colour to suit your mood or clothes.

Sorry for all the replies/posts in a row. Multi-quote kept not quoting certain posts I wanted to reply to

I'm really sorry if I missed out something or replying :(

I love seeing the stash lists, and I will try to work on mine.

talking about drains! When we got home on sunday I went to the loo and lifted the seat to find.........a worm:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:???????????????it was wriggling around still alive but how it got there is a mystery as we had been away 10 nights and the lid was down.the water was clear but the blue stuff in the cistern came back when I flushed....very strange...glad it was only small:rotfl:

still not done ironing as friend who looked after cats been round for coffee.

massuese at hotle said my skin was very dry.....not surprising really as had been soaking up the sun all week:rotfl:note to self use body butter every day for long tan and soft skin:)

I saw that hair spritz recommended too and was thinking about trying it but in the Boots where I work it would have cost UK£1.50 -over 3 times what you pay for it - blooming cheek!! I was thinking it may be useful for frizzy hair as just an oil type product to calm it down a bit - has anyone used it?

I used this in hols at the end of last summer, and wasn't that impressed - I was in and out of a pool a lot, and lots of fun, so wanted to protect my hair, but it just made it look greasy most of the time, and still quite dry on the ends. For me I think it would have been just as effective to make sure my hair was always rinsed thoroughly after swimming, and bring a good conditioner with me.

I'd love to see the pictures!! I think I have more a makeup problem than toiletries, which is crazy as I don't wear much. Although I have recently to try to use it

Since I bought my urban decay pencils, I'm wearing more makeup - I am actually putting on eyeliner each day. I'm quite enjoying it :)

One use-up from the weekend, a Crabtree and Evelyn small lavender shower gel. WIBA? No - didn't like the smell, and it didn't lather well.

I'm now using my new BS Tea tree body wash, which lathers really well, and smells so invigorating!

This thread is making me think a little more about spending in general; so slightly off topic but are any of you from Liverpool and able to recommend a good, reasonably priced hair salon? I currently pay about £50 for a cut and blowdry which I think is a bit excessive...or am I just out of touch with prices?

I'm also planning to book a Clarins facial at my local Boots, it is £15 redeemable angainst products. Now I really don't need any more products:o but this seems the most economical way to enjoy some pampering. Rosemary I think it was you who mentioned having this done, how does the treatment compare to a full facial (the cost of which at JL is:eek:).

marie Not sure what the Clarin's ones are like but last time my sister enquired (and booked) at Elemis, they were doing bogof on facials!! So worked out to £22.50 each. She gave me one of the vouchers and it was amazing :j

I'm not encouraging anyone, but I know somebody posted about looking for stila (foundation?) at a good price. I'm not sure how prices compare, but lookfantastic have started their sale

*Whispering* (And Nails Inc. just tweeted about a crackle polish...)

I don't live near you but £50 for C&B seems very expensive. I changed hairdressers a couple of years back because they were charging £30 and the one I go to now is £18.50 and they do a fab job. There are no frills though, no sample shampoos etc, no offer of coffee but the place is clean and modern and my hair looks good. Do you tip when you pay aswell?

  • Not in Liverpool, but I've always had consistently good experiences at various Toni and Guys. Or for something really basic what about Supercuts - I think they cost about £13.50 for a cut and blow dry but from what I've heard the service is very good.

£50 is hugely expensive though - I pay £30 in a reasonably posh salon in a very middle class, well off town (including all the frills like coffee) and I think that's pricey, but I like my hairdresser and I know she'll cut my hair how I like it.

Hello Everyone! Hope you are all well!

Few UUs to report after the weekend.....

Kiehl's Lavendar Bath Foam (Miniature) - WNBA as wasn't impressed with the scent or the amount of bubbles - very disappointing! Will try and get through some more miniatures before I move onto anything exciting.

Sanex 24hr Roll On Deodorant - WNBA as I much prefer the Sanex Invisible Roll On. The 24 hr one seems to be a little too harsh for me and left my skin slightly dryer than normal. Have moved onto the last remaining Invisible Roll On I have in my stash.

L'Oreal Elnette Volume Hairspray - WBA as Elnette is my HG of hairsprays. I'm not fussed which variety I use and I have moved onto L'Oreal Elnette Supreme Hold now.

Clarins Eau Ressourcante Body Cream - Still half full but unfortunately I think it has gone off. I used it a couple of times last week and it's not sinking into my skin at all and the cream seems to have separated and gone yellowy. I need to dig through my box of body lotions tonight as I know I have another of these in the stash which has also been opened and is quite old. I'm really annoyed at myself because I LOVE the smell of this and it's not exactly cheap. I must stop opening things and use up what I have first! WBA once I got through more of my stash.

My Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Intensive Conditioner will probably be used up this week, it hasn't lasted that well at all! I don't have another in my stash so am looking for recommendations from you lovely ladies so I can pick one up from Boots this week.....

    xx
