And so because generally I've got things under control (all thanks to a year and a bit of doing this thread) - my stash now fits in a small toiletry bag - and because I'm finding it hard to keep up with this thread - I will love and leave you and report back for duty later in the year.

Thanks everyone and remember - be good :A

Congratulations - what a great achievement. Well done! :T:T Do look in from time to time if you can :)

I gave her one of my packs of cotton pads as we tried to get her some in poundland but I thought they looked a bit cheap looking and not too good so told her I would let her have a pack of mine so I have an out.

I agree - I got a pack of the Cotton Roll from £land because I forgot to pick some up in Boots - and I hate it - it's thin and tears too easily and just falls apart in my hand. £land are great for some stuff but I won't be buying that again!

Have a bit of a dilemma. Am using a bottle of body lotion which I started the other day and, although it smells nice enough in the bottle, I'm not sure if I like it when I use it. The smell doesn't linger once I've used it but I just smell it when I'm using it. Should I persevere to use it up or should I get rid of it some other way? I know I have enough others to use but I don't want to end up wasting it.

Do you have one with an overpowering smell you could mix it with? To even them out? or add a matching perfume oil to strengthen it with? I had a peach one from Avon which smelt of nothing (was ancient though :o) and I've mixed it with sugar to make my own body scrub :D

Right, I've really ummed and ahhed about mentioning this but over on the boots thread, people are saying they have used the No,7 voucher and the 3 for 2 together with certain products....sorry

I used my voucher with one No7 product, one clearance product and one normal priced product :D The trick behind it (apparently) is that the No7 product can't be the lowest price product - ie: the free product - 'cos it won't register. ;)

Been having a mass sort out of DD's bedroom today - she doesn't live with us (she's my stepDD) but has her own room here which looks as messy as if she does . I got her to sort out clothes she'd grown out of/wouldn't wear again (or had ever in some cases - the tags were still on a lot of it ) and to sort out some 'stuff' for charity/bin/hand-me-downs to her cousins. Then we went through it and weeded out the stuff that (a) didn't belong to her anyway :p and (b) we could use.

So the outcome is: she now has a floor :rotfl: we have a box for the charity shop, a box for her cousins, a few things in pristine condition I can re-gift :T a HUGE bag of rubbish and a few extra toiletries in the bathroom. Which is a very long winded way of saying I have a couple of freebie IN's :rotfl: A Boots Evening Primrose Body Lotion (Mini) and a sachet Boots Evening Primrose Bath Salts. I added all the random dregs to OH's bubble bath bottle - so it should last him another week now :p

    A couple of UU's/OUT's:
One S&G Mini Hand Food finished - There was enough for another couple of days but I dropped it and then stood on it :o. WIBA? definately - this is my HG handcream :D
One small bottle of Bio-Oil which is being sent to my lovely SIL who has just announced she is pregnant with her (and my brother's ;)) second child :T:T

OH (bless him) told me to 'treat' myself and get one of the S&G bundles - but after another look I don't want one ..... well .... I don't want the one they have left on the website :rotfl: The only thing in that bundle I really want is the Clean Mary so am gonna give it a miss .... this time :p

That's great lemon tree. I think the BS ones get quite good reviews and I have got so used to using muslim cloths I couldn't go back to cleansing with cotton wool. Don't know if I will use the LYB card much as I'm not sure you get 10% off on sale items and online you get better promotional codes around anyway. Seems like you only get stamps instore but I'm sure I've read someone say on one of the MSE threads that they took their online receipt in store and got the stamps that way

I was going to say i can't remember the last time i bought something in BS but i had to get some Hemp Protector last november, before that i swear blind it was donkey's years. It was always too expensive for me when i was a student, and when i finally got talked into expensive products my excema was bad and i tried Sanctuary and stuck to it as i knew i was safe with it. I'm actually looking forwards to trying other things when my stash eventually gets smaller (in about 5 years or so.)

Aawwww - we will miss you but well done on sorting your stash out and getting on top of it. You have given me hope that I will get there too. Pop in and say hi xx

If I had bought a new bottle of shampoo and conditioner every 2 months say, that would have cost about £4, (obviously the cheaper end of the hair care market!), which is about £24 a year – so about £240. Not quite as much as I would have thought actually!!

£240 is not to be sniffed at - think of what you could treat yourself to with that now.

What do you get for bonus time? Not that I need anything :rotfl: but do you collect advantage card points on Clinique at B**ts?

Yes, you get Advantage points. I can;t entirely remember what was in the gift this time - I remember it comes in a cute tin, there was definitely a mini mascara, and I think a DD Lotion, possibly a lip balm or gloss and certainly an eyeshadow. Maybe a Youth Surge Moisturiser?

    sawan - Fantastic nail stash....

    Seconded! I'm quite jealous! :D

Vics - Loving the nails, why dont mine ever look that good when I do them??

They do indeed look fantastic, beautiful shape and the colour sets them off so well, you should be proud of those!

Celebrate - You still working on putting your stash to paper/excel? ;)

Trudi - fantastic news on Red :T

A few ins for me, but I have spent my Groupon Voucher (before I forgot about it!) :embarasse:embarasse
    BS Shea Body Butter
    BS Shea Body Scrub
    BS Satsuma Body Butter
    BS Sweet Lemon Body Scrub
BS Sweet Lemon Body Scrub 50ml - free
    BS Cotton Socks
    BS Warming mineral mask
    L'Oreal Youth Code Serum x 3
L'Oreal Youth Code Night Cream - Botanics spluttering, so needed
OS Honey & shea Shower Gel x 2
Derma V10 Night Cream - to use on the chest area, didn't have any.

So, i'm on the naughty step - again.....

You are, aren't you! Think yourself lucky - this time last year we would have told you to write lines instead! ;)

Welcome back Rosemary - glad you had a lovely time, and pleased you got some more soap as you don't have much of that, do you?! :p Actually, while people are doing lists, come on, let's have a list of your soap - I think it might make enlightening reading! :rotfl:

Mineallmine I'm alarmed that you'll be leaving us, but impressed that you've made such good progress. Hopefully I might reach that stage at some point too! I hope you'll pop in from time to time to keep a weather eye on us all though - we probably need an external invigilator! On the subject of those who've done well Nicci that's amazing with the hair stuff - well done! I started off with loads of shampoo and conditioner and it was only the last time I sorted through stuff that I started to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I've now started listing stuff I want to try as people mention it too as an incentive.

Hollyh with your No7 Voucher why don't you see if you can use it against one of the free items, and if not tear it up and not spend it at all, otherwise it's playing right into Mr B's hands by encouraging you to spend money when you really don't need to? :A Oddly enough I don't find those too much of a temptation - as and when I need cleanser I will happily wait for the Olay ones in order to get my HG Regenerist cleanser though, as long as those are still included.

As I have no plans to go anywhere now involving nights away before we go on holiday I might get to grips with sorting out the travel stash into stuff to take with me later on. I need to work out exactly how much stuff like shampoo, shower gel etc I need to take with me - last year as some of the long-termer's will remember I concentrated on using up sachets, and reduced my stash of those massively (yes, really!) so I will probably leave shampoo / conditioner sachets now for using when camping as they are so much easier as can just be a one use and finished. I do have a few bits and pieces that are part used and those will go with me for sure and get finished, and I will take ordinary moisturiser, cleanser etc with me in sachets again as these last for several days each and are a pain when camping! Deodorant will be my regular Mitchum - I have a roll on already in my travel bag - and I will probably have to take a full size handcream this year. Will be fiun sorting out in any case - I'll report back! :D

I think mineallmine is a regular over on the Decluttering thread, which has been very inspirational for me, so I shall see her there - hopefully.

I've made a decision not to buy stuff and I shall simply stick to it, arguably I could probably stick to it without the thread - but I like being here and reading about things I've never heard of.

However the most important thing is not 'not buying' but to use stuff up and pamper myself - I'm really, really reaping the benefits of this. Knowing that I can tell you lot all about it is what's keeping me motivated.

Here's an example, expanding on something I mentioned earlier. Several times I've given myself nasty cuts with a callus knife over the years removing hard skin. My real problem is that poor circulation means that healing can be slow and I have to be mega careful that I don't get infections, with the possibility of something really nasty like cellulitis. That's not something you want - I just missed hospital and intravenous antibiotics the first time I got it.

Applying foot cream - or any handy cream - EVERY morning has left the evil knife redundant. What a blessing that has been!

Believe it or not only 2 months :D but I am using stuff every day now instead of once a week and then forget for a month :rotfl: and I've got different products in use for day and night :p

I forgot to say 'Welcome Back Rosemary' .... so, Welcome Back Rosemary :D I'd like to see that list of soaps too :p

It does keep me motivated too - especially when you're stood in Boots ..... or on the BS Website ..... and you have to think 'I'm gonna have to confess I've bought this' :rotfl::rotfl:

Another OUT since my last post - the L'oreal stuff is going to my mum when I visit next month - I was telling her about it and she sounded all ...wistful (not really the right word but close enough).... so I've decided she can have them both - they'll be more use to her than me :p

Also forgot to mention that OH cut my hair today  I wanted him just to trim the ends and he ended up taking a good 3 inches off *cry* Ah well - it will grow :D

Off for my bath - long day
