OK, so I lasted three days :( BUT, I used the Boots £5 voucher plus 3 £1 gift vouchers I got for doing a survey to buy a £9 cleanser from Boots.

    a) I REALLY needed one
    b) It only cost me £1.00
    c) I really like it

so all in all not a huge fall from the wagon.

Now, can I resist the Glamour magazine shelf?..............

    * is is the Dead Sea Spa Majik stuff*
i think so it comes in blue and white packaging.tbh i think the vouchers are burning a hole in my pocket but to be fair i dont think they expire so could wait until i actually need something or buy something completly different as it doesnt need to be health and beauty thats just where i always go to:)
re sleek palettes i really like sleek and i have a few colours in them that match up pretty well to my urban decay/mac colours .they are popular and the limited edition ones tend to sell out.another good palette is the one from collection 2000-i did a review on utube and something like 8 of the colours matched a too faced one exactly £4 versus £20!

1 in to report (well i did go into town 4 times today/loads of outs to charity:cool:) i got false eyelashes reduced to 1.80 in asdas, cant remember the brand but they were natural ones oh and i got 2 dark brown hairdyes from the £shop but took 2 back to another shop so even-is this hair dye any good? i have quite sensative skin but it means only paying £2 a time instead of about 8 for the xxl ones i normally get x

    afternoon all,

Have a couple of UU to report
UU: BS body butter - don't think I have ever actually finished one of these! will buy again once I have used up the others in my stash
Throw away - avon solutions face pads - absolute rubbish!

Swap - took back a toner from BS and swapped it to the seaweed range which I am really loving at the minute sooo.... I kinda also spend my £30 groupon voucher while I was there! Did get stuff from the range I am using and a perfume so well pleased!

Am going to have a bit of a tidy up and sort out on Monday night so will see what happens!

Also for me it is a comfort thing - i feel happy and smiley when I buy cosmetics, also as others have said, if it promises to make me look like all the pretty people in the magazines I will give it a go!

UU - Elemis eyes awake gel WIBA - got two more in the stash. This is very refreshing and I have started using it in the mornings as I am rubbish at eye creams so am making the effort to fit it in to the morning routine! That and I dont want crinkly eyeballs! LOL

Well, I had no problems with them, but you will find that the instructions recommend leaving it on for about 40 minutes. I always leave them on for this time anyway, dyeing hair is a chemical reaction and all chemical reactions need time to work, few things are instant.

I found they were great for root touch -ups, so much cheaper than the kits.

Really poorly today with acute tonsillitis, second time in two months, am on antibiotics for 7 days so no drinks for my birthday next week, it's a big one too:(. Despite that still managed to think about skincare and asked DH to pick up another glamour with the moisture surge in. Just out of interest I had a look for this on ebay and the 30ml sizes are selling on there in the region of £9:eek: ending today, bit of a beggar if you pay that when you can get it for £2.

    Hi all - newbie here...

I seem to be addicted to buying toiletries, half of which never get used. I have gone a bit mad since Christmas - I tend to go into Boots and buy the gift sets when they've been reduced. I'm going to have a sort out tomorrow and write a list - think it may scare me a bit! I have recently ordered a few bits that I've seen on MSE (just paying p&p) but I need to stop that as well as it all adds up. I'm going to be out of a job come the end of the month so I need to start watching the pennies!

I shall be back with my list - off to paint my nails now!

I won't of course... having joined here I now see the error of my ways and shall avoid *those* shops! But does anyone else have a bit of a comfort buying problem, or is it more hoarding good bargains etc for you guys?

Alternatively, do you just get distracted by sparkly pretty things? :D

I'm not one for sparkly pretty things, well not overly.

I don't even think I have too much of a problem, it was just that I never used stuff up. I didn't apply body lotions or body butters for example, whereas now I do. Religiously.

Why did I buy the stuff in the first place? Sometimes, as with the Lush solid shampoos and Imperial Leather Foamburst it's because I was intrigued by the novelty of the concept.

Sometimes, as with anything bought in Home Bargains, Poundland or Wilkinson's, it was because the price was just too good. :money:
Sometimes it was because it was a HG product (Mitchum deo or OS shower stuff) and on offer, regardless of what I had at home. :o

Sometimes it was because I just fancied a change.:D

My initial aim was not to buy shampoo for 2011. I still have that aim but it has expanded from mid Jan into no cash spends on toiletries at all. Boots / Tesco vouchers and Mother's Day /birthday gifts will cover any gaps.
I also love freebies - as is VERY clear - and as they are no cash spends, they are ok, in my book.
There are several products that have been or are being, used up uinder PRCP. The little Olay sample tubes are examples of this.

A question: How many of you are using (or have recently used) a product not designed as footcream on your feet?

I have enough elderly moisturiser or stuff that doesn't quite suit my skin to keep me going in footcream all year. As an added bonus, my feet haven't been this healthy in years. :)

I gave one of the mags (with a moisturiser) away to a friend who needed cheering up. They were v. happy. So that felt good. :A
So only need to add another £2 (instead of £4) to my unplanned spends - for the Glamour and the eye cream. It is tiny. But most eye creams are. Still need to keep an eye on that spend total.

I have an urge to spend too. And it is comfort spending!
