been a good girl today and managed to buy... NOTHING!!
however i have my eyes on the following
sleek primer palette-have a few of their palettes already but there soooo good-does any1 else have this?
    barry m effects nailpolish thingy
noticed whilst in superdrug they also have a 3 for 2 on tolitries
dead sea minerals kit from £35 to £17.50 in debnhams-is this stuff any good? i have a debenhams voucher so i could pick it up for nothing but its a matter of dont need (saying that i lost a £10 boots card last month so i think its safer to have the stuff in then a card/voucher that will get lost) plus they have there 10% off (and if i spend over 40 will get 750 points on my card..)

actually looking at the above its only a few wee things i want plus i still have a £5 off a £20 spend for mrb , i will only get essentials i promise :P
£365 a year spend challenge - this has included food/clothes/beauty?? who knows where I am

does anyone else have a bit of a comfort buying problem, or is it more hoarding good bargains etc for you guys?

Alternatively, do you just get distracted by sparkly pretty things? :D

Welcome to the boards! For me it was a bit of both.... I have a siege mentality on basics like shower gel (and toilet roll - I'm down to 30 for anyone who remembers last month's declaration) but I have a magpie attitude on skincare. If it promises to make me prettier and healthier looking and wonderful and give me this awesome lifestyle then I'd buy it. A week later, I'd be looking for something else that might work!

I've now gone since February 9th without buying anything even vaguely toiletry-ish, and that must be the longest time in my adult life where I haven't.

I've got to save money this month, and every penny I'm not spending on this stuff is going towards things I need - that has been my motivation and keeps me going when I am in the dreaded shops...
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Two UUs here, an Arm and Hammer whitening toothpaste and a Janina liquid toothpaste. I am now down to my last toothpaste!

WIBA - yes I like the arm and hammer range, the Janina liquid is compact and light so I'd get more for holidays and trips away for convenience.

Sawan how do you do such neat little pics? Mine were blimmin' ginormous when I posted them on here! Just sneaking in to annouce my first "In" of the year. I've ordered my Mir Cleanser.

I upload to Photobucket by emailing them from my mobile. Then log on via pc. When I hover the mouse on pic (sometimes have to move it away then back) at the top it comes up re-size. Or if on main edit screen there's a re-size button. I selected 320xsmthng as was going to paste them into post initially. Then just linked to them instead.

Thanks for the comments on my stash ladies. I am trying to work my way through it, but pretty things on special offer are my weakness!!

It helps keeping it slightly organised so I know where to find which shadow (usually). Also means I see things I'd forgotten I had & use them.

Taking photos did alert me to my addiction though

Guess at the weekend I'd better stare at my toiletries and perfume

I also got the Wella mini shampoo & conditioner in the post today. I think it's from supersavvyme.

For research purposes only, I went into B**ts & SD last night to look for the Barry M nail effects varnish, but both were sold out.

I've never tried Sleek makeup. Is it good?

But as I should, maybe delay buying the dead sea minerals stuff? Actually going to go look up what it is.

Is this the Dead Sea Spa Majik stuff? I've used this before and liked the haircare stuff, but it smelt FOUL to me, depends what kind of smells you like? IT smells very 'spa-ry' iyswim and I much prefer fruity smells. I made my OH use a huge bottle of the body wash and he hated it too! Iused the rest of it up when I had a cold and donated some to GIve and Make Up. Check out ShopForSpa's website for more info about the range.

One hrow away today - an Avon foundation with built in brush - had gone all hard - didn't like it anway!

I won't of course... having joined here I now see the error of my ways and shall avoid *those* shops! But does anyone else have a bit of a comfort buying problem, or is it more hoarding good bargains etc for you guys?

Alternatively, do you just get distracted by sparkly pretty things? :D

All of the above - loving the 'siege mentality' description! :T

What was weird for me on discovering this thread, and the de-clutter one, is how common - what I thought were weird me-isms - actually are. Now I look at other shoppers in those lovely stores and wonder if any of them are on here!!

No ins to declare here <ahem>

Still can't get my pics to show on the web, hrumph. Tried to follow your instructions Sawan ... :(
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

Great pic juliebunny! Don't know if it's the same on flickr as it is on photobucket, but if there's a bit that says copy IMG tag, that's the one I use to get photos to appear.

Ahem, few INs to report - Clinique Take The Day Off from Glamour mag and the Wella freebies (I got Brilliance shampoo and mask). Definitely not my fault as they were both freebies! My local Sainsburys and Co-op were sold out/need to restock. so will have a look in town next wee for the moisture surge gel and eye cream.
