I got the eye make up remover :j. On the new subscription flyer thing I got sent last month though, it said that you would receive one of 4 free gifts as a subscriber - the mascara, eye make up remover, lipgloss and I think the lipstick, which was a bit sneaky. I reckon it's because the other things are bulkier to post.

I bought another 2 copies to get both moisturisers, as I've just had to cut open my remaining moisturiser. Other than a mini Bliss moisturiser, all I have are the Clinique bits. :A
  • Btw, Sarah a - Clean Mary is included in one of the S&G bundles on the Boots site. I'm wondering if that means that they're discontinuing it... :(

I got the lipgloss, I knew as soon as it came in the post it wasn't big enough for a moisturiser!! Didn't really want another lipgloss but what can you do?!

They didn't have any Glamours in my local shop yet (I wasn't going to buy promise, I just looked when I picked up the TV mag!!) and wasn't tempted by the Cowshed body lotion freeby cos I have sooo many body creams.

If I happen to see a Glamour mag with a free moisturiser I might buy an extra copy but I try not to linger by the magazines or I end up buying them!!

Firstly, welcome to all the newbies. Please excuse our collective falling off the wagon. It's the fault of that magazine!

Well I signed up last month to the mag, six issues for £3 which seemed like a bargain for me, especially with the free gifts - mine came this morning but it came with mascara and to be honest its pretty rubbish, just looked clumpy, my 50p mascara from bodycare is better, am somewhat tempted to go hunt for the lipgloss because Im desperate for some more as my last clinique mini is at the end of its life now....there again I got a £5 voucher to spend on Amazon and it has to be spent today.....really no idea what to get...saw a cosmetic set for £4.50 but I know I don't need it!

I thought it would be clumpy from the brush shape, but I think it actually goes on quite nicely. That's one thing I definitely don't need: mascara. I probably have enough for over 2 years, and that would be replacing them every 3 months whether I need to or not  (I tend to use til it goes funny though!)
Please don't tell me I'm the only regular not buying Glamour???!!!!
I have bought it in the past, but it's not very me, and I have little time for pleasure reading, so tend to stick to books. Usually ones I've got free from Amazon.
It's not very me at all, but the lipgloss and makeup remover are ;)

You see, that's what I needed to hear, that I don't need it. Now my wants are a totally different matter. But I was brave, I didn't give in.

Not sure I could dissuade you as that looks like a gorgeous product (just the packaging alone is beautiful). Am so glad that I don't work local to a Debenhams store.
Isn't it so gorgeous?? I don't work local to a Debenhams (and defintely not close to one that stocks UD, which I why knowing your credit card number by heart is so dangerous :o

Where's Sawan???? She's in trouble......:T i only went to have a look at the urban decay that she doesnt need and ended up buying the 'naked' pallet.... in my defense the only eyeshadows i possess are one from a boots freebie bag and one i got free from a body shop party years ago.....
I'm sorry :o But I have to say I have the Naked palette, and isn't it soooooo beautiful? Everyone should have one! (I am not in any way encouraging or condoning buying the UD Naked palette)

    Hi everyone
I'm feeling much better after a rubbish end of Feb. Kept myself occupied with ebaying a few things etc and trying to avoid QVC spending - and resisted the last two beauty TSV's and today's Elemis. :A
Oh well, I'm in for this month. I am finding it hard to resist temptation especially when I really want to cheer myself up - ( also the biscuit barrel is empty). :D
I'm glad you're feeling better *hugs* Although I find cheering myself up is either bad for hips or my bank balance :o

Unplanned spends. They get me every time :(

I did have to go with my Dad to collect my niece's phone. And they're happened to be a Debenhams there. Open late. Doing 10% off. I had £10 burning a hole in my Beauty Club card. Bonus Points. I did buy an essential, namely my Hello Flawless in Toffee (it might be being discontinued in that shade :() and maybe purchased That Gal with it.. :o

I ended up with 5 Glamour magazines
    • moisture surge (x2)
    • lipstick
    • lipgloss
    • liquid facial soap
Would like some eye cream and eye make up remover but there wasn't any. Will check some different shops tomorrow. More £18 moisture surge for £2 is too tempting for me :o but I was so busy going to newsagents that I had no time to go to Boots:T

I don't have one but that UD Naked palette has a massive cult following with beauty bloggers. It was sold out and impossible to get for ages so it was an excellent choice.

I have been successful (or a failure in the challenge!) with my Glamour mission today... lol.

How many has everyone else bought, just out of interest? :D

4 for me - got mine yesterday, and only bought the products I actually use. Not tempted at all by the eye cream or the makeup remover, rarely wear lipstick, have lots of mascara, have a full size DD lotion on the go and am not that struck on it. Will be a lovely treat to have Moisture Surge again!

Had to go into our nearest big town today for an inland revenue seminar (not, thankfully, as dull as it sounds!) so popped into Boots to check on when Bonus Time is due - March 15th I think it was she said for anyone wanting to know when to avoid Boots. :D She also showed me the picture of the BT gift - and took some time to suggest a replacement product for the tinted moisturiser that they have discontinued in spite of knowing from me asking about BT that I wasn't going to buy there and then. :A Came out empty handed, but with useful information! :D

One UU to report - the Avon Moisture Rich Face Cream that I have been using as body cream instead. WIBA? - yes, it was fine as a cheap and cheerful night cream - the main problem I had was it was SUCH a big pot I got bored with it! Considering it can regularly be picked up for £2 - £3 a pot though, you can't really go wrong! Going to go on to the Moringa Body Butter now - I have a sneaking feeling that MrEH is going to hate it!

Thanks to Macculloch29 and juliebuuny for you kinds words when I was feeling fed up with my hives returning - have now recovered but completely forgot about the Glomour mag:( bet there is none left now.

Oh well, I'm in for this month. I am finding it hard to resist temptation especially when I really want to cheer myself up - ( also the biscuit barrel is empty). :D

Er, I've got a spare Glamour mag if you want one....I'm guessing there are quite a few in this thread.....the free gift er fell off though :rotfl: into my stash! There is a printable 2 for 1 voucher for Krisy Kreme donut though - they've done a special Glamour new variety (or 2 I think) - if no-one has posted the linnk by tomorrow, I'll fish it out. Maybe that would help cheer you up :). I'm certainly going to be trying them out, nom noms.

I've only been out for a curry as Smellyspoons and catching up on this thread really made me laught tonight, especially the Glamour agonies. My boyf mentioned that he saw a Glamour mag in the bin today but now he knows why (naughty wasteful person.) I made him go into Tescos with me 'just to investigate out of pure interest' what mags were still left....just the face soap and only 2 of them!

I'm not fessing up to how many I bought except I did get a couple for presents and went back to look for the eye cream after a so-called friend said it was faaaaaabulous - it's very pretty but TIIIINNNY!!! Might get round to posting a pic tomorrow if get bored enough.....I'll update my signature when the Glamourfetish has passed and hopefully no-one will bother to look.....

On the positive side, now I have the Clinique moisturiser, I am not going to need to use the No. 7 voucher. :A Body shop is starting to freak me out with the never ending supply of offers - now I'm thinking if I buy something will it be on half price, 2 for 1, BOGOF tomorrow on a better offer - this is good because it's putting me off buying anything....not the intended effect I'm sure.

Right better stop waffling, bedtime and a few bits to try out....
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

I'm never going to get round to listing everything. So here's a selection. It's maybe 3/4 of my makeup. I'm estimating. But there's no way I'm going to find it all from cupboards and car and handbags and put it all together

*Alert* You may find the following images disturbing (I did ) Didn't want to clog up the board with pics so re-sized them, then just added links instead :A
    Eyeshadows

    Eyeliners

    Misc.

Eyeshadows & Lip Stuff & Blusher

Eyeshadows (UD, Bellapierre) & Laura Mercier Gloss Set (and a snuck in No7 gel liner)

Harrods Estee Lauder GWP (minus the Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lift Correcting Creme sample I gave to my mum - worth £48 by itself!!)

My toiletries stash is not included *sigh*

Also, technically I have the Benefit INs today, but not unplanned spending as my Dad very kindly paid (minus the £10 discount from my BC card).

Also two UUs: Avon Spa Sugar Scrub thing - WIBA: not sure tbh. Too difficult to get out the bottle.
And finally UU the everlasting No7 Advanced Hydration Night Cream - WIBA: I think so. But not yet. I have a little sample to use, and would like to try the S&G night cream.
No buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60
