  • Morning Ladies,
regarding our new graduate list (see OP)graduate-3688.gif could we post in big colourful letters if we want our name added to the list

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:just peeked into the naughty corner, don't think we'll have too many names on the list for a while (I'll be here for a decade I think) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have one piddly uu, - a sample sachet of genefique serum, this lasted two days and tbh I would probably have gotten 3 days out of it except I didn't realise how watery it is and managed to squeeze out far too much when I opened it. I do like it and have a few more sample sachets left which is just as well as I don't think I'd ever pay the RRP

Trudij - I agree with everyone else - go for it!!
belated happy birthday to Ilona :bdaycake:

Now would somebody please tell me to get off the laptop and go to bed!

    1) 1 Tresemme Iron Style & Hold Spray. WIBA? No need as I have another as part of a 3 for £10 offer ages ago, but I'm not sure how effective it is. Anyone got any recommendations to a heat barrier that is really effective?

I love Toni & Guy Protein Protection Spray (http://www.boots.com/en/Toni-Guy-Protein-Mist-200ml_39829/)- often on offer for either 2 for £7, or 3 for £10, or various other offers/coupons in Boots. Really fine spray, so coats hair well. I use it everytime Iv'e washed my hair, whether I'm going to be using heat tools or not, as the protein in it seems to give that little bit extra shine as well. And it does protect really well against heat :) Def my HG, I wouldn't use anything else now.

It's my birthday in a couple of weeks, and I've got some big events planned, so want to look fabulous, so I'm aiming to make a concerted effort over these next 2 weeks to use lots of face masks, body butter, cleansers etc. I've got a little lazy, and my skin is showing it, so I must be better :( And drink more water.

So count me in to any future pampering nights! And if I UU a few things through doing this, am I allowed to go shopping for my birthday? :A

  • Wow, I go away for a day and this thread goes mad!

In my news, I've got a splutterer - the Body Shop Coconut Shower Cream is on its last legs, think there's probably only one more shower left in it (I say that now of course, watch it take forever!) - but no UUs. Oh well, onwards and upwards I suppose...

Bit of news - I've got a job interview/assesment thing wih Boots as a No7 account manager. Not sure of that's a good or bad thing :rotfl:Don't think it's a mega good thing as it was kind of 'book it or miss out' kind of thing. Apparently it's a interview and analysis excercise - anyone got an idea of what the analysis might mean?

Is it wrong that my first thought was, "Ooh, staff discount!"? :rotfl: Well done though, that's very exciting news!

I have just opened a toni & Guy texture paste tub and hate what it is doing to my hair. I have really fine short hair that also gets very greasy - so I have to wash every day. I have used it the last three days and fine it does not hold or style my hair in anyway. As it is very old (maybe 4-5 years) it may have lost its potentcy. I just finished & loved the Tigi Bedhead Hard to get and I am thinking about binning the T & G and buying the Tigi one again. Does anyone have any other texture paste recommendations? TIA

It's not a paste, but I really like Lee Stafford's Messed Up Spray Wax - basically, it's like a normal wax but you spray it into your hair and then work it through, so it gives similar hold to a paste but is a lot lighter.

Guys, slightly off-topic, do any of you use TCB or Quidco? I'm not signed up with any cashback site, and always back down when thinking about it. Is it worth it and is it secure??

It can be on-topic as I was looking at the TCB/free LYB card deal - just for general knowledge of course. TIA

I use TopCashBack, only because you get all the money that you earn on it, and have made about £200. Have never had any problems with it re: security. I do think it's worth it, especially if you take advantage of the special deals like the one a few weeks back where you got £16 for doing a credit check with Equifax, or if you're buying 'big' things like insurance, new phone contract etc, but maybe not so much if you're only buying bits of things here and there.

If you'd like a sign up code let me know and I'll PM you (I should point out that if you use my link I'll get £5 back for recommending a friend).

Also, love those nails! :) I need to paint mine again, am thinking Barry M Racing Green and CG Fairy Dust in honour of St Patrick's Day.

That mug is hideous - but other than that, if there's something funny about it, I DONT GET IT!!!!! :( Am a bit concerned though about why anyone would be online looking up wedding mugs anyway....:rotfl:

Looks like I'm missing out on this Tesco thingy......its not one of our local supermarkets but might be worth a trip perhaps??

INS: shockwaves hair mousse - love this and the one I'm using is starting to run out. There is a Boots mousse for emergencies in the bathroom, but this is my HG and I was in Asda anyway so got another shockwaves. :D(£2.00 added to total in sig)

Also bought Timotei shampoo and conditioner for blonde hair for DD2 even though there's 2 big bottles of Pantene in the stash. Since she's dyed her hair blonde she's insisting on using shampoos for coloured hair. Does it really make a difference?

I always used to use shampoo/conditioner for coloured hair, but since starting the "use up the stash" plan, I've been using whatever's in there and I can't see that the colour is fading any quicker than it would normally.

Pudsey unless I'm being very blond, take another look at the mug, specifically at "Will" .....:D

Hairdressers later on today - looking forward to that as my hair really is driving me mad now. I think I'm going to have a throw-away too - the Boots Expert Sensitive Facial Serum I'm using is just not doing it for me - I've been shying away from using it to be honest as each time I have so far my skin's broken out afterwards - it might not be connected but I'm unconvinced so I think it's going to get binned.

My cut open tube of Avon Dry Skin SOS hand cream will die tonight I think - I have an ordinary Avon one open though so will use that up next rather than opening something new.

That BS 50% code has annoyed me - as a result they have pulled the "buy more save more" promotion on the shower gels - I know that the 50% code still makes them cheaper, but that doesn't help me with wanting to spend instore using my Groupon voucher! It may be that the offer is still on instore - anyone know?
