No Buying Toiletries in March Challenge

Another little uu, have just coloured my hair (whilst cooking kids tea and reading with 5 year old - multi tasking or what:D), used a Botanics permanent in warmed terracotta, have used this a few times before, always in the same colour and got three a while ago on 3 for 2. I think it's £4.38 for one and it's lovely, covers grey, comes with a generous tube of conditioner and is multi-toned, this colour is almost the same as my natural colour and it really picks up on my red and gold natural colours. The devil makes works for idle hands0

I've used up in that time.
My S&G wipes that came with my tote bag - WIBA no - have used them in the past and whilst they aren't the worst wipes I've used they aren't the best either, but took them on Guide holiday with me and they were handy to finish off there.
1 bottle of my 5 Molton Brown bubble baths I got for Christmas - Using the nice things philosophy totally - 3 lovely bubbly baths - WIBA - will leave to my well paid job in city brother to buy for me for pressies i think - I preferred the last one I had fragrance wise but it was nice and bubbly!
Last of my Joules bath bombs I got for my birthday - WIBA? No I've decided only bubbly baths for me! No more bath bombs left now though.
Mini bottle of shampoo from a hotel I found in the cupboard used up.
I did join in the Glamour magazine purchasing and got the moisture surge, dd lotion, scrub and lipstick. I wanted to try the moisturisers as I haven't found one I really like yet and I use face scrubs a lot and I fancied the lipstick. The other ones I've seen but didn't want are the gloss and the soap wash, I didn't want the mascara either or the make up remover but would have tried the eye cream and the lip balmy gloss if I'd seen them but never mind, didn't have a lot of time to look around.
So £8 spend this year so far is pretty impressive I think and a bit of make up with Boots points. I have enough points that if I like one of the Clinique things I can buy full size with that.
Shampoo and Conditioner is what I'm going to need soon, but haven't bought any for months - need to do some research!
Will try and keep up now and most more often!
£8 spent this year is soooooooooo impressive, I can't bear to add up what I've spent. Well done you.The devil makes works for idle hands0 -
UU Gillette shaving gel WIBA no it was hubby's and he only uses an electric shaver so I used this up and now have a can of Nivea that he got for xmas to use.
UU Shea butter moisturiser that came with hair removal kit, used it up on my legs and I have to admit its good stuff!
Few things spluttering but I keep giving the tubes a good shake and still more comes out!
I have been and picked up my S&G bundle today so a tiny in for me...................also placed a small order on the BS site with the discount but was v good and ordered bits for mothers day and fathers day.0 -
Guys, slightly off-topic, do any of you use TCB or Quidco? I'm not signed up with any cashback site, and always back down when thinking about it. Is it worth it and is it secure??
It can be on-topic as I was looking at the TCB/free LYB card deal - just for general knowledge of course. TIA
I joined Quidco last week and have found using it OK - will go and join topcashback now as it seems to be good and might cover other websites that Quidco don't. Must admit it took me probably a year or more before i go around to joining as like you I was a bit apprehensive at first.
3 INS - Liz Earle skin tonic trio. -£23.75 from QVC and free p&p which basically means I get the travel size for free. I wouldn't usually pay that much but I have just used up my A'kin toner and also had to bin a neals yard neroli toner as I think it was causing the spots I had last week. Have no toners in the stash and although I could do without a toner at all I use it for many others things as well (eye mask for example) and it is my HG toner.0 -
avon order came today so 3 ins:o:

mini botanics body wash- wiba? maybe. I quite liked this, made my skin very soft but quite expensive for what it is. £4 for 200ml and it went quite quickly:eek:Toiletry spend £34.95 In: 10 out:130 -
Planning a pamper night tonight to coincide with the footie! Should have lots of UUs to report later!
Wondered if anyone has any recommendations for an intensive hair conditioner / mask. I have baby fine dry hair that's prone to split ends if that helps narrow it down?

ok i have to admit i just couldn't see it, i don't mind being the first to admit it, maybe i'm looking to close.
I joined Quidco and was slow to use it as wasn't sure if it worked or was legit, but i'm now upto about £360, i've probably still got £50 of that pending up i'm sure it will come eventually. Some of the insurances seem to take an age to pay out but it's all money for things you were gonna buy anyway.0 -
I used the BS Men's Seaweed Shower Gel (dated 2002) that I found at the back of the wardrobe in my office. Not that I intend keeping it for me but I like 'marine' scents.
Well, this isn't a marine scent - I don't think it's gone off, it's just a faint, fairly masculine scent. Not too masculine though - a bit like CK One in fact, which I love.
It will come in handy for spinning out the much nicer OS and Virgin Vie gels. I can't really see my son using it - he loves the strong scents of OS.
I am working my way down my Virgin Vie Shower Juice and OS Lemon and Tea Tree shower gels. I am resisting the call of the OS Shea Butter and Honey from my stash as this is just so lovely. Once I open it I won't want to use anything else and I need to UU, particularly the Virgin Vie as it has been open a while now.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... i confess. I have placed BS order using the discount code. Bought the Sweet Lemon scrub (have none in my stash once I've finished the Breakfast Scrub I've just opened). Got a body lotion and shower gel to go with it (though this was one of the new rainforest ones and ordered the unfragranced one in this range thinking that this will go with anything and I shouldn't need to repurchase any more shower gels to match existing open body lotions/butters. Also ordered Love Etc body wash, lotion and perfume for Emma.
I've repainted my nails tonight using I Love Juicy by Leighton Denny.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
