I seem to be the only person on here that likes Cowshed stuff. Didn't buy the mag to get the freebie though as £3.50 for a mag that is full of ads doesn't appeal to me. Still to finish off reading the Glamour one but I am struggling as the acticles just seem irrelevant to me and the reviews are just "for you life to have value you must have this item/product now" attitude - which is why I stopped buying mags in the first place. Didn't think at 33 I was too old for the glossy mags but maybe I just am :rotfl:

Just read my post back to me and what a right rant I seem to be on today - must be because I am about to go into work. Lucky them :rotfl:

I am 31 and I have recently started getting Easy Living - I really like it and is the best magazine I have read for a while. i get it on subscription so it arrives once a month... and seems to stop me wanting to buy the other parp ones!!!

Well done on any UU - am going to have to buy bubble bath soon as have nearly run out of that and shower gel... holding out til after Lent, am def not buying ANY toiletries til then - even bargains!! :money:

This thread is making me think a little more about spending in general; so slightly off topic but are any of you from Liverpool and able to recommend a good, reasonably priced hair salon? I currently pay about £50 for a cut and blowdry which I think is a bit excessive...or am I just out of touch with prices?

In Edinburgh £50-£60 is pretty standard for a cut and blow dry
Not even posh places, just run of the mill ones anywhere near the centre
I had to go down a stylist level to get my hair cut for £35. I'm just glad I don't get any colour done!!
No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
    35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins

    Thanks!

    It says :

    Hi Terry

This is the link to the website I was talking about earlier.

    XXXXX

I'm not Terry and the "This" was a link which I didn't click on

Do I report it or just delete it? Why me?
there was something last year with people getting spurious emails, i'd report it to the MSE team if i were you.
But you've probably been told this loads of time by the the time i get to the end of the thread lol

I'm 33 and the G magazine is the first glossy I've bought in ages... and it wasn't read from cover to cover, I must add. Whenever I bought a mag, it usually was a gardening one... must be getting old! (don't buy anymore as I no longer have a garden... and god don't I miss it!!)
  • Finally have a UU to report: TEsco ALmond and Coconut bath milk
WIBA? probably not. It's something and nothing, had no smell just foamed a lot and an even cheaper one would foam up just as well.
My Flake Away is spluttering and hopefully that'll be over soon. I rather liked it at first but am now a bit fed up with it. Plus I've started using more than is needed and it leaves my skin feel a bit slimy and covered in tiny bits.

Re: magazines - I quite like reading my eldest daughter's LOOK magazine :) At least the makeup etc in there is affordable.

Think I'm going to be naughty very soon :o I've discovered that BarryM has extended their nail effects (crackle range of nail polishes) and now have pink, blue and white as well as the original black.

In my defence, they wont be for me but for my 2 teenage daughters :D

My nail varnish has started to chip today (its lasted well though cos I painted them last Wednesday) so I think I might repaint them tonight. Just got to decide which colour.............

PS. I didnt get a spam email either
