No Buying Toiletries in March Challenge

About the haircuts I think the cheaper places are ok if you just want a very basic trim. In that case there's really no need to pay extra. If you have really short hair of long layers that need styling then it's definitely worth the higher prices, same if you want a restyle. Groupon sometimes have offers from the expensive hairdressers.
@thevicster My Celia Britwell Boots bag arrived this morning, brightened up my Monday morning lots. Thank you :A
@Kaz Glad the drains are all fixed
@rosemary there are loads of online beauty sites, get them back by shopping elsewhere. Seems strange that they won't add on the points when it's easy for them to see what you bought
I didn't get the spam PM.

I just quickly wanted to post about the Spam PMs.
A while ago (November last year to be precise) The MSE team sent me (and probally everyone else) a message about the random PMs, i'm not sure if it's about the same thing but I'll post it, incase it is?Important! Have you received an email to your forum name?
Hi,
This is a belt n braces PM just in case you haven’t seen the forum-wide announcement. Some MSE forum users have been receiving a spam email from malicious hackers, purporting to be from 'Money Expert' and addressed to their MSE forum usernames. (read full MSE News story: Forum members warned)
In most cases its goes straight to people’s spam/junk file, but if not please don’t open the email – it is not from us (nor is it from the money expert website). It contains a link leading to a type of virus called a 'Trojan' so please DO NOT CLICK THAT LINK! (It’s also an important reminder to read about Free Anti-Virus software and backup all your files regularly).
We want to outline the risks for you and what steps you should take though...- We don't hold any personal data on individuals - barring email addresses. That is and always has been a deliberate policy both because we don't need/want more data than this, plus in the event something like this happens (and attempts are made every minute!) so at worst if you’re one of those affected these people only have your email and possibly forum user name
- If you use the same password as with your bank - consider changing it urgently. We have absolutely NO evidence that forum users passwords have been accessed, it would be a particularly difficult thing to break the encryption. However if you use the same password here as for a bank website or any other that holds sensitive personal data, and use the same email as your forum email – we suggest you change those passwords as a precaution.
We apologise wholeheartedly for the hassle caused - we've been through some major security exercises over the last year including bringing in outside consultants to check for any flaws, to try and avoid instances like this. Yet this unfortunately reflects the murkier side of the internet that it is a constant battle to keep out.
We are still investigating, and will continue to update this thread with any new information we find:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/....php?t=2866884
Please help us work out what's going on...
We have a suspicion that only forumites who joined before Dec 2009 will be receiving these emails, as we are yet to receive verified proof of a breach in 2010 – there was one in 2009 read about that here.
However, if you are a more recent member and have received one of these emails, it would be a massive help if you can forward it to webmaster@moneysavingexpert.com and include your username.
Thanks

Do things have to be returned in 3's or could I return one of the three for example, in which case would I get a third of the cost refunded?

Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -

Aaahhhh! I just unpacked the last bag of my shopping from earlier - I'd just put it on the side because I thought it was all doggy stuff - and I found more stuff that I forgot I'd bought :eek:
I went to Home Bargains (mainly for puppy pads and treats) and they have these new 'treatments' in for 99p each. About the same size packaging as those 'Montagne Jaunesse' (Sp?) sachets but each sachet contains either a pair of socks, gloves or heel patch - all pre-treated with an intense treatment. I got 2 of each
so I'm gonna try the socks & gloves tonight and the heel treatment on Wednesday as I've got a diabetic check-up on Thursday and as she always checks my feet I want them to be in tip-top condition
I've come to the conclusion that I should leave my purse at home when I have a Dr's appt as she always makes me soooooo frustrated (having to repeat myself constantly drives me nuts! If she actually read her notes/wrote proper notes it would go so much faster ) that I need retail therapy afterwards. Four appointments I've had in 6 weeks and I feel like I'm getting nowhere
Off to dye my hair - can't remember what colour it is - will update later0
