Free international calls with TMobile - is this true?

Do you really have to call on your mobile. You do realise that you can call from a landline using eg the 1899.com service for 9p/min. So why, when you've got massive bills, are you restricting yourself with the mobile scenario?
(I'm sure you've got a perfectly reasonable reason!)
- oops - the International Call Checker is showing 2p per minute for one of the options - that's good !
Not a silly question to ask................;)
All I know at the moment is that when I buy phone cards I use the 020 8 access number, which I use on my free minutes on the mobile.
When cards run out I use an 0871 access number on the landline which costs me 10p a minute.
Problem is I have only seen one provider which caters for a Jamaica MOBILE, but this is at a cost of 15p a minute:eek:
Where did you find the 2p/min deal? Most likely it was for Jamaican LANDLINE and not MOBILE. Please let me know.
I am truly at a loss......................0 -
I'm at a loss too, as there are cheaper rates than these in the Callchecker, ie from 2p landlines and 8 or 10p for mobiles from landline here, as people have mentioned
I'm also confused by your remarks about calling cards, as you earlier mentioned 150 minutes from £5 which is probably a rate for landlines
So if you can call to a Jamaica landline some of the time, from 2p/min from BT landlines via 0844calls, or weekday evenings via 07744 from your mobile.
I thought I'd found what is similar to a calling card with cheaper rates (2.5p J landlines, 5p mobiles), but now I've checked, the daily maintenance and connection charges are so complicated after the first call that it actually works out to about 8 or 10 pence a minute or so for mobiles.
How often do you call, and for roughly what length of call? I'm assuming something like half an hour a couple of times a week.0 -

Is it possible to get free international calls with my TMobile free minutes? I have free calls from 7pm to 7am weekday and all weekend. Paying too much for calls although I do buy phone cards. Spending at least £100 per month for bills. Partner resides in Jamaica  - you know, rum punch, hot sun, Bob Marley etc As I said before in my other thread....... either the bill goes down or the boyfriend will have to go ...........
Any ideas?
The only way to get cheap phone calls to Jamaica is landline to landline via the numbers on Nifty List:
http://www.niftylist.co.uk/calls/countries/j/
There are ways to call using:
- Free minutes using O2 dialling 0844/0845/0870 numbers
- Various other call routing companies on other http://www.simply-fone.com/
(BTW, this offers calls to Jamaica)
However, phoning Jamaica on a mobile is expensive even with call routing and therefore most companies require you to phone 0871 numbers or restrict the times you call or don't allow calling to mobiles.
Your best route is landline to landline. It will be difficult to clock up £100+ at 2p/minute.
Have you checked with your boyfriend whether its cheaper for him to ring back to the U.K.?

AMO, if you read the OP, you'll see that Miss P has a T-mobile contract with off-peak calls.
So the only current inclusive callthrough options to Jamaica landlines are PlanetTalkFree and Yourcallworld 07744 numbers on weekday evenings.0 -

True, but the point of my post was that whilst you can get inclusive calls using O2 or T-Mobile through call routing, because of the high cost of calls to Jamaica mobiles, you are unlikely to get any call router including this free of charge.
It's like phoning mobile in Australia - because mobile phone calls are so expensive, the best way forward is to look for a landline solution.

I'm more than confused now.............and it doesnt take much to get me confused:rotfl:
Just tried the yourcallworld.com site and although it offers jamaica mobile at a good rate (cant remember what it is now), the only time it is available is from 8am in the morning to 6pm in the evening. My free minutes are from 7pm in the evening to 7am in the morning - hence I miss out. Therefore, should I call jamaica mobile during the day using the 07744 acesss number, I shall be charged 35p/min:eek:
If there was any way that I could contact the OH on a landline number in jamaica I would not be going through this right now
What I really need is to find a call provider who does JAMAICA MOBILES DURING THE EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS:j
Oh.........to get on a plane right now!!!!!!:A0 -
YCW 07744 covers Jamaica mobiles daytime weekdays. I think Miss P could look at other T-mob tariffs
Both PlanetTalkFree and Yourcallworld cover Australian mobiles 24/5 from 07744, and PlanetTalk has some coverage via 0870
sorry, cross post, so editMiss_P wrote:What I really need is to find a call provider who does JAMAICA MOBILES DURING THE EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS:j0 -

Is this the best way forward though? I mean, okay you can use 07744 and 07755 numbers to call Jamaica for free during the day, but how much does it cost to phone using a mobile during the day using expensive daytime inclusive minutes? 200-400 minutes would get you 3 and a bit hours for £20-£35 / month. Is it really worth looking at a mobile option?

Thinking of taking a T Mob contract for international calls. Are 07744 numbers still working? are 0844 numbers included in inclusive minutes? Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere.0

Yes 07744/07755 are still included in inclusive x-net contract minutes.(But not U-Fix).
Calls to 0500/0800/0844/0845/0870/0871 are not included.0
