If you get error messages such as the 'STOP:' one you captured in your photo, you can usually find the fix by googling the error code (the bit including 'STOP:' and the first group of digits). As it is, there is a hotfix for the error you posted HERE.

    Thanks patman99.

I'm really confused about this all now!

As everything seems to be working ok? What would happen if I didn't run the hotfix? Just a bit worried as it says "Installing the incorrect hotfix can cause damage to your system" & "System Tip This article applies to a different version of Windows than the one you are using. Content in this article may not be relevant to you.Visit the Windows XP Solution Center"

Also is there anything else I need to do with that combofix program? etc.

    Thanks very much aliEnRIK! :T

What should I do if combofix switches windows off again to the blue screen? How do I restart Pc without turning it off / back on at the mains?

aliEnRIK Help Please! If you have time as everyone seems to have the same problem!!

    I'm still really confused / struggling! :(

    Pc appears "normal?"

Tried running combofix 3 times but just keeps shutting windows down and I get the blue screen message so have not seen a log to post? Should there be one on my pc anywhere?

Ps. Don't ya hate it when things go wrong!

Sounds like it bluescreens before you get a log

if there is a log it will be the root of 'C' drive (combofix.txt)
