Hi, maybe you could help me please some one-anyone!!! I was on MSE this morning and had ebay open as well, but i was watching a video link from MSE about a woman who had had her kids taken away and the video was of her house -bombsite!! anyway I got this message and blue screen saying trojan virus etc etc, I tried to use security essentials and it wouldn't run, I tried to down load kaspersky-a programme my husband bought-with 3 licenses and it won't load because (when i got the pc it already had mcafee on it) mcafee was on it and stopping the upload. I tried to remove mcafee security centre and it won't go and it won't open either. I tried downloading avg (the free one) and it won't load because of the mcafee security centre. In the end my husband restored the laptop to a time before the virus messages appeared-that's great but i am still unable to put any kind of security programme on my laptop and i still can't remove mcafee either. please advise.. many thanks.

    OMG!

Need Help! :( Gone way past my pc knowledge now!

I ran the COMBOFIX which ran for about 10? mins showing the progress on screen, never saw a log - all of a sudden it shut windows down with this message on my screen: Had a brainwave in my panic and took photos as have rubbish memory skills!

    http://s1108.photobucket.com/albums/h406/OnAndUp/?action=view&current=P1010343.jpg

I didn't know how to restart it wouldn't switch off or on / or ctrl alt del so had to switch it off on the mains then when it came back on got a windows has recovered from a serious error box and these were the detail messages:

    Everything appears to be normal??

    What to do now?

If you get error messages such as the 'STOP:' one you captured in your photo, you can usually find the fix by googling the error code (the bit including 'STOP:' and the first group of digits). As it is, there is a hotfix for the error you posted HERE.

Just remembered something else when I was on ebay before it happened I did get a pop up msg on firefox saying I needed to install a new plugin for an advertisement to work? Which obviously I never because I remember thinking why would you do that for an advert!
