  • Hi Newbeginning,

yes I have used it before and managed to lose 2 1/2 stones (2 of which I've since put on again:o). Essentially you replace two meals a day with the CS shakes and your third meal should be low carb. You can also snack through the day so long as you keep to the low carb concept, I used to eat tins of tuna, tomatoes, or atkins bars for snacks. It took me a few days getting used to it but when I did it was easy enough.

However, I got really complacent and started off eating the odd chocolate bar here and there which soon turned into more and more junk food - crisps and chocolate (the more the better) being my major weaknesses and naturally the weight started to pile on again.

Having said that I'm of the mindset now that if I did it before I should be able to do it again (well fingers crossed :D)

    Hth, xx

Thanks, Does it give you meal examples as well? I'm totally carp if left to my own devices :o , also does the weight come off fairly quickly - not too quick obviously but it's nice to see it working :D ... off to go research now

Each box comes with a little leaflet explaining the programme but that's about all but you can buy a seperate recipe book. They have a website which gives tips and the forum has loads of recipes and tips, the Celebrity slim Ireland site is good: http://www.celebrityslim.ie/

When I used it the first time the bulk of the weight came off in the first 4 - 6 weeks and then settled to a more steady pace.

Just a word of caution though, if you do decide to try it make sure you add plenty of fiber to your diet ( I just added powdered fiber to the shakes) otherwise things can become a little 'strained' if you know what I mean ;)
  • Count me in again Mrs Dragon ;) start weight 11st 8lbs.....if I could lose a few and keep off the cigarettes this month I would be ecstatic! :p

Hello all I am new may I please join for this month and then for next month. I am bridesmaid at a wedding (my sisters) in May in Australia and my dress is strapless and i'm currently 10 stone, 5 ft 0in, and I had a baby exactly 8 months ago today. I was 8 stone pre-pregnancy and I've gained two stone since. Goal weight is to be 8 and a half stone by the summer x
  • I actually put on 1lb last month, but I'm still 5lb down from January:D

I now need to lose 16lb so I will aim for 7lb in March. I've started well, did 2.5 k on the treadmill this morning a mixture of incline walking and running. I'm going walking in Wales later so should do another few mile there.

    Good luck everyone:T
  • Day 1 and just having breakfast. I've been weighing my porridge out for a while now and have realised that a big part of my weight problems come down to portion sizes! :o

Although a 30g serving doesn't look much in the bowl, it's a perfectly filling amount. Left to my own devices I would probably pour out about 3 x that amount.

Watched The Biggest Loser finals last night for motivation as well.

Can I throw my name into the ring?

I need to lose 30lbs for no other reason than to be healthy, already lost 7 since January. But if I can lose 7 more this month i'll be delighted.

Yesterday and today have gone well so far, avoided the cakes at work and instead did an hour on the bike at the gym. Followed by Jacket potato and cottage cheese.

I have a training course in London, the next few days, and unfortunately that means eating out, and not getting to the gym as much, but hopefully that shouldn't take me too far off course over the month.

I think that is what the cereal manufacturers are hoping for (especially the really not a diet one that does a diet plan!! :rotfl: - I mean have you seen the amount of sugar and salt in that one!)
