Do any of the language teachers have an opinion as to whether audio books might work? Just listening to something interesting, even if I don't always understand all of it, must be better than the stupid tapes...
Michel Thomas' method looks interesting, but I have no experience of it. If you already have a working knowledge of the language, anything you listen to/read will help. You could try newspapers, radio stations or TV programmes via your laptop/PC, too. TV obviously has the added advantage of using images to aid understanding. However, all this will mainly help your receptive skills. If you want to work on your productive skills you will have to do something to increase your vocabulary/repertoire of structures. If the company you work for has offices in the relevant countries, would any of the staff there be interested in communicating with you via e-mail/skype? You could alternate languages so you both benefit and if you decide on the topic in advance, you can research some relevant vocab. HTH.
I'm in again this week, but will probably only post once a day, if at all. I really should have done more work, so will have a huge backlog to catch up on. No improvement with DH/KH and it's beginning to get to me. I'll have an early night and do an hour in the morning. At least I've cleared up after tea and the house does look a bit better after my week off - provided you know where to look.
ETA Forgot my manners! Thank you to FCC for the thread and to everyone for the company, support and encouragement.0 -

hi all:hello:
I am in again
this evening I went to load the WM and found water all over the utility room floor, the sink had decided to [a] block and to come apart underneath, the cupboard was dripping with a small water fall of particularly nasty mop bucket water which should have gone down the drain.
DH has fixed it but everything is horrible wet with smelly water:(
so cleaned up as best I could, but utility room needs a serious declutter and clean.
hey big sis Crafty, my note book is found and ready to go:T
I also found out for some reason I have 3 filofax all with expense/bank account sections.Sue
Do I need to eat it
Can I afford the calories:eek:
have I checked for a lower calorie version:T0 -

Spring cleaning list?!!!:eek::eek: piggers what are you trying to give me an heart attack?!!0 -
Evening ladies,
Can I please join? I have printed off the list for tomorrow and stuck it to the fridge. I have also briefed the family about it so we can all get involved. This week is a good week to start as every room is not too bad (ish) so it means we can keep on top of it. Last weekend we de-cluttered our bedroom and it took 2 whole days. Now if we can keep things going I wont ever have to do that again! xx0
