    Evening all

Its been a short day here and I have no idea where the time has gone
9-12am I was working in one form or another (either doing my "rounds" or doing admin) then I dived into town to run errands, picked DD up at 3.15, home and back out to the library, home via dentists (to make an appointment - I've chipped a tooth :() & chippy by 5pm, we had tea and I went back out to do more "rounds" at 6.30 (DD stayed home while I did a couple of nearby houses in our road - worth it as I missed the violin practice but could still see our house ;)), then DD came out with me for some other houses & we finally got home at 8pm. Now at 9.30 I still have loads to do before work tomorrow & to top it all off I have an approved foods order due tomorrow! I'm hoping its due between noon & 1pm then I can just come home for lunch and be in when it arrives, if I miss it I won't be happy. But then again it serves me right for not ordering it Wednesday like I was going to :o

DD is happy, I've set her up a rewards chart. It worked for the potty training all those years ago so I'm hoping its going to work for the homework/violin practice now ;) Instead of chocolate bars though her rewards are "All violin practice done for the week" = A film with me with popcorn, all her reading homework (new this week - shouldn't be a problem, but she should be reading to me not herself) = A particular film to watch after school one night, All her school stuff out the night before stars = £1 (its only 5 nights a week and she kind of already does it of a fashion, hoping the money will encourage her) and finally if she keeps her bedroom tidy all week I'll sit and play a boardgame with her. I'm trying to keep the rewards as none money as its a little tight right now. We'll see how it goes...

Monday ~ Kitchen & Dining area
    Level One
    Declutter and wipe worksurfaces
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Wipe table!
Write you 'spring cleaning' list... we will be working through that too :p
    Level Two
Wipe fronts of units and large appliances
Scrub out the sink and polish the taps
Run appliances through a clean cycle.. clean filters, drawers and doorseals first!
    Level Three
Wipe over the oven and hob and fridge
Clean out the freezer.. defrost if necessary but just emptied and sorted otherwise.. scrub those door seals!
Clean out the cupboard with the pet food/miscellaneous items!

Tuesday ~ Living room, reception rooms and hallway
    Level One
    Declutter and vacuum floors
    Check smoke alarms!!!!
    Level Two
Vacuum under sofa cushions and wipe away any gungy marks
    Tidy coats, bags and shoes
Vacuum under furniture you can safely move
    Level Three
    Tidy understair/hall cupboard
    Dust and deweb
Polish glass and metals and mantel

My house looks like an explosion in a laundrette & avon warehouse so I'm going to tidy up through downstairs and then do an hours ironing. Then that will have to be it for today - I need to have a bath, sort my bag for tomorrow & get some sleep. :o

Will bookmark this post so I can find it tomorrow when I get in from work. ;)

Pigpen  One things for sure - you never have chance for a dull moment in your house.

I'm no child expert, but I wonder whether it is about attention seeking for both of them - the bad behaviour has caused you to react and give attention (hardly surprising!) Any chance of you 'praising' good behaviour and 'ignoring' the bad - so that good behaviour becomes what they get the attention for. And yes, I would kick off and demand proper assistance for DD's wettingness. I imagine you as a red head. :rotfl:

So, request to Pigpen for one flying job a day I can do with my foot elevated above my head.

Ok.. tomorrows job... count the cobwebs you have been ignoring :p

Pigpen my 2p worth, get any and all the referrals you can. I feel your frustration, what about making her responsible for stripping, washing (by hand possibly) drying and remaking her bed. It might make her think twice about deliberate 'accidents' if she has to deal with the consequences.

She already does.. it is part of her 'owning her problem' .. putting washing and nappy away, changing wet bed etc.. she has a star chart tablets and how much difference has it made? Not a jot!

Pigpen-Could be attention, could be physical problem, could be pschological, until seen by someone you and she will never know, so push for a referral on, shouldnt be hard if shes attending the clinic already, they have the contacts! In the meantime try to be calm about it, and I second the idea of getting her to deal with the bedding etc, she's plenty old enough to do it!

TBH a couple of weeks ago I asked if it was actually worth us going to clinic every other week.. they repeat the same stuff, nothing changes and we seem to be getting nowhere. We did everything they suggested.. D didn't or refused to.. simple stuff like drinking 7 drinks a day... is that too much to expect when we have a bottle, make up the juice and all she has to do is drink it? She lies on the star charts, says she has had dry nights when she hasn't.. says she's had the 7 drinks when she hasn't and now she is hiding her tablets..

She actually admitted she likes being wet so what is going to change until she sees it is not acceptable?

As for DD2 she really is just lazy, she simply couldn't be bothered to put things in the bin.. she isn't an attention seeker in any way shape or form and I force myself on her.. she likes it really.. :p .. She would allow everyone to ignore her and KH does (that is why she won't go to his) but I won't.

  • Evening everyone. Had a huge BD day today - I was miserable yesterday and then ate far too much then felt disgusted and managed to beat myself up about it.:o

But I have turned it round - had a very good walk with the dogs and a friend, hoovered the entire house, S&S the bathroom & kitchen and mopped the stairs hall and kitchen. Oh and did some washing! So feeling a bit better.

I am wondering if I have a cold coming - I've been freezing all day which isnt like me. Hmmm

Grateful - I meant to post before your puppy is gorgeous! I am soooooooooooooooo jealous! I have to remember that my eldest is slowing down a tiny bit so doesnt really appreciate a stroppy stomp round the block!

Piggers - I dont have children but do you think your girls could possibly be a tiny bit jealous of the baby? Just a thought?

Toots - I really hope that item was put in the bin.Nawty!!!

LW - have fun with your visitor!

anyway ladies (and gentlemen) I am off to bed soon. I'll be doing lists as and whern this week................due to BD and feeling yuk.

    Take care

Nope... DD3 has been like this since she was 4.5 and DD2 is simply a slob.. she has a room 7ft x 9ft and I got 3 binbags of rubbish from that room, 3.5 baskets of washing. I found half a packet of choc digestives down the side of her bed, a chocolate coin, a packet of crisps and several loose sweets. If she makes lady mess on her sheets she just leaves it.. I daren't even hazard a guess at the number of empty wrappers etc. She had school shoes with holes from 3 years ago.. we had a big discussion about hygiene and mice and she has been better this week.. I'll just be on her case and get her retrained. I think a fair bit of it is after being unwel for 3 months then getting pregnant and being unwell for several months and a coupl of months after I nelected my duties as battleaxe so they thought they could do as they please and now I an evil again they are drawing very short straws!
