Thanks for the good wishes. I've just got back and have been told I have a post trauma headache and it could last for a couple of months. He checked me by shining lights in my eyes, feeling my head and taking my blood pressure - all was fine so he reassured me there was nothing ominous going on there. He did say in future I must always wear a well fitting helmet, not just because of risk of injury after a blow to the head, but also because I am on Warfarin any internal bleeding will be much worse. I took much delight in telling DH this so we're going to be looking for a helmet in the end of season sales.
Glad you got the all clear from the doc - hope the headache goes quicker than he said.
When you get your helmet check it is hard enough by grasping it by the strap and swinging it against something suitable (like OH's head)

Good luck with your exam x
Are you sitting the exam, dusty, or just invigilating it?

Thanks LiT and Vanilla but I was, as Grateful hinted at, only invigilating :rotfl::rotfl:

Got back late as I was having an interesting discussion with my boss and another Governor about school stuff.

Kids dropped at the squash court for an hour.

I have got the washing out of the machine and sorted out my phone cashback since being home though.

Pots in the AGA so I'll just feed the mogs and then go and collect (or lift as Vanilla would say) the boys.

    Ninth Anniversary
In again this week please and thanks for todays list.

RANT Alert Have had horrible day at work, am on a training course arranged for weeks. Go into the room and trainer says 'oh you arent in this group any more you have to join other group' I was so upset by this. Manager said she only decided last week to change me -well what about some one speaking to me about it.Had it been explained to me maybe I wouldn't have been so upset by it.Couldnt settle all day and have come home and burst into tears. Not looking forward to tomorrow.

On well off to start on list WM already on and kitchen cleaned.

    Hugs

Had a bad start to the day, managed to put a load of washing in before going to work, but after being in work for just half an hour managed to fall spectacularly well and landed very hard on my elbow. So a day spent in casualty waiting to be told just badly bruised (my manager insisted I went even though I could tell it was only bruised), however very painful and so think I will try to rest it today and try to catch up with jobs by the end of the week.

Thanks for the welcome back - have made a large quiche and 4 mini ones but now there's flour everywhere including down my front. I'm sure somewhere there was a thread about wearing an apron when cooking - well I didn't and now I know why I should have!

Off now to make up salad, coleslaw and something sweet - not sure what yet but I'm sure I'll feel inspired once started
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

    Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for your welcomes and replies.

Jinkie67 – We have a sling and she loves it but I’m not too good and bending and stretching etc whilst wearing it. It’s fine for walking but not too great for washing up or scrubbing the floors. As for bouncy seats she is fine in them so long as I’m sat next to her the minute I move she starts screaming. We also have a baby gym which occasionally she will occupy herself for about 10 minutes before she notices that I’ve disappeared. It’s the same with the baby swing, baby nest. You name it I’ve tried it. The best solution is her bumbo which she will sit in while I work for about 15 minutes so long as I chat to her. The major problem is she has a good pair of lungs – our next door neighbours have commented on how loud her crying is (so has the Dr, the health visitor etc etc) – so as soon as she thinks she’s on her own it’s the end of the world and can take a good 15 minutes to calm her down. I am getting things done it’s just taking me a lot longer and I wouldn’t change her for the world.
I used to sit darling son in his bouncy chair on the worktops...yes yes I know. you shouldnt do it,:A but I was there the whole time, so always at eye level, and I moved him round the room with me.

he was a nosy little sod, always wanting to know what was going on, he is still the same in fact and he is 18 now:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

flying wise~ I did some clearing in the garden, and more poop lifting, now I have proved my point to the upstairs neighbour  hung up some washing and rescued Gran from her fall in the bathroom!!

  • My DM and DF turned up shortly after my last post with my two nieces, so no flying done  It was nice to catch up with them, but now am really far behind where I wanted to be :(

Oh, well, onwards and upwards. I will go for a run now and hoover the stairs/master room/living room on my way up to the shower. I will have to iron tonight (or maybe tomorrow ;))
