Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for your welcomes and replies.
Jinkie67 – We have a sling and she loves it but I’m not too good and bending and stretching etc whilst wearing it. It’s fine for walking but not too great for washing up or scrubbing the floors. As for bouncy seats she is fine in them so long as I’m sat next to her the minute I move she starts screaming. We also have a baby gym which occasionally she will occupy herself for about 10 minutes before she notices that I’ve disappeared. It’s the same with the baby swing, baby nest. You name it I’ve tried it. The best solution is her bumbo which she will sit in while I work for about 15 minutes so long as I chat to her. The major problem is she has a good pair of lungs – our next door neighbours have commented on how loud her crying is (so has the Dr, the health visitor etc etc) – so as soon as she thinks she’s on her own it’s the end of the world and can take a good 15 minutes to calm her down. I am getting things done it’s just taking me a lot longer and I wouldn’t change her for the world.
Pigpen – I’m glad someone else struggles with washing. I was just trying to put away the next lot of washing that should be dry, but surprise surprise it’s still damp. Now I have to decide whether to put on the next load of washing as I currently can’t think of how to get it dry! Your baby sounds lovely. How do you tell when they actually go to sleep? I’m not sure whether she’s asleep so just shutting her eyes. Scarlett’s likes to suck (but only on one thing – me!) and she can suck in her sleep sometimes for 30 minutes, yet if I remove my nipple she startles awake.
Toots – thanks for the PM
Kazwookie – I have managed to save the contents of our freezer by distributing amongst several of our neighbours
Courgette, gratefulforhelp , sunnygirl - lovely to meet you. I might try a bouncer for the door – you never know it might work. I am enjoying every minute of motherhood.
Anyway I’m making progress. I have now
Made dinner
Swept kitchen floor
Wipes table
Written spring cleaning list
Hung up wet washing
Checked ‘dry’ washing but it’s not dry
Washed dishes
We're off for a walk now (in the rain) Scarlett really needs a nap!

Thanks to everyone as always for the lists, and the support. Hello to all the newbies  and hugs/spoons for anyone who needs them.
Not long home from a busy and emotionally challenging day (helping others rather than me upset) at work to the usual pigsty but I did manage to put the DW and WM on this morning. H was working from home so I could for once.
HHC 16.15 - 16.45 anyone?

I've just done the washing shuffle too.. damp stuff I don't mind piling 2 deep on the rads.. Stuffed a pink load in.. and I need to have a word with DD2 about pants..
The baby is actually a ratbag today.. teething, full of cold, missing the noise of the bigger horribles as they are back at school.. she is actually better now they are home.. but they are arguing!:mad::mad:
I am a mean mummy.. I take her off when she is just sucking for sucking sake.. she is a very sucky baby too and for the first 6 weeks was feeding every hours, just about on the hour for about 20 minutes a go.. but she sleeps on a night.. and you can cope with anything just about so long as you have had a decent nights sleep. My last one was loud lol.. when she was born at 34 weeks the paed from scbu said 'anything that screams like that is not coming in my scbu!' .. She is 6 and still loud!
You can tell when they are asleep by the lack of eye movement.. when they are pretending the eyeballs still move under the lids when they go to sleep they stop.. until they enter the REM cycle of course. Mine loses her grip on my clothes too as her hands relax and she gets really heavy. But I am mean and will put her to bed and let her scream.. we have students next door.. they go to bed late.. we get up early.. revenge! lol. 20-30 minutes feeding is more than enough to be full any longer and I get fidgetty and I know they are usin me as a dummy which is not allowed.. if she wants a dummy she can have one but it doesn't look like me!
Mumof2.. Hope all checks out ok and it is just coincidence..
I didn't rant at you all I am sure.. while tidying DD2's room, and stuffing clothes in drawers, 2 of her drawers smelled foul.. she had only been 'storing' USED sanitary towels in there!!!!!!! I went mad.. Dirty beast! And I am sure my underwear has never been in the state hers gets in.. Actually I may get her some night time pads see if they help..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Thanks for the good wishes. I've just got back and have been told I have a post trauma headache and it could last for a couple of months. He checked me by shining lights in my eyes, feeling my head and taking my blood pressure - all was fine so he reassured me there was nothing ominous going on there. He did say in future I must always wear a well fitting helmet, not just because of risk of injury after a blow to the head, but also because I am on Warfarin any internal bleeding will be much worse. I took much delight in telling DH this so we're going to be looking for a helmet in the end of season sales.
Pigpen, bleugh, why on earth has DD been storing used pads? Grim and poor you having to find them.
LameWolf, enjoy playing with Dilly!
Right off to do tea now.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Upstairs done. To a good level 2 plus level.
There are some odd jobs I can do up there while chatting to convalescent mother when she's here, but nothing that HAS to be done.
Still think I'll get the stairs and downstairs hall done tonight too, leaving the kitchen as next job of priority for tomorrow, and hope fully will get back into the proper thread order of things by the end of the week.
