Regarding wills and funerals – Mr LW and I discussed these when we first got married; we have “mirror wills” - whoever goes first, the survivor gets everything – and we have our funeral instructions detailed there also. I think if it's all dealt with early on, you don't have a mad panic when something happens.

The only thing I'd add to that for everybody is: is it clear to the people who will be "on call" when it finally happens where the instructions and to do list are and what they're contained in? I mean, none of us want to think about our kicking the bucket, but you do want to make sure your millions :rotfl:go to the right charity or the nice relatives....

Scarletsmum - I have one of those bouncers that hang in the door for Gherkin (24weeks). He loves it! He gets to watch me and do star jumps at the same time, it's also good for tiring him out. Just a thought?

The amount you've got done this morning is amazing though. If I managed half that I'd count it as a very good day!

Working my way through the list, shelves cleaned, microwave cleaned, oven, kickboards, hob, front of washer, all pots washed. Will look loads better once I've done the floor

Can I ask about putting the wm on an empty wash. What temperature and do I put anything in with it? I live in a limescaley area so should iput some vinegar in? Soda crystals?

  • I'm struggling to stay on top of anything since my daughter was born 4 months ago. She's absolutely perfect (spot the biased mother) although is what health visitors term a 'demanding' baby and doesn't like to be put down or sleep during the day (or night for that matter).

You are doing brilliantly. Neither of my babies so far have accepted being put down for a minute, I take it as a sign of intelligence, so yours will be a brainy one.

When mine were 4 months, I basically did bare minimum, so go you:T

Monday ~ Kitchen & Dining area - all done.

Feeling a bit anxious so have made an appointment to go and see the duty GP at 4.00. I don't know if you know but I had a stroke 11 years ago and am on Warfarin to keep me safe. On our first morning skiing I took 2 hard falls and really smacked the back of my head both times - as soon as we got to the bottom I told DH I wouldn't ski 1 step further unless I could hire a helmet (I'd already said at the start I wanted one but he thought I was being over cautious). The long and short of it is ever since then I have had a permanent headache and as it's now been over a week I'm going to get checked out just for peace of mind.

Everyone seems to be doing well and hi to the new flyladies on here!

Just going to do a herbal tea ... anyone want one?

I have found my keys! They were in my handbag which is a mystery to me as I didn't take my handbag to football. I didn't go to my handbag until this morning when I wrote a cheque for DS2's school trip. It's a real puzzle.

WM on again and I've cleaned DD2's welly boots - they had more mud inside than outside!

I've just cashed in an ISA that I took out 9 years ago with some redundancy money. I really should have watched it a bit closer as it's paying out the same as what I put in. What a waste of time:(.
