Hi everyone,
I've decided to be brave, stop lurking and start posting.
I'm struggling to stay on top of anything since my daughter was born 4 months ago. She's absolutely perfect (spot the biased mother) although is what health visitors term a 'demanding' baby and doesn't like to be put down or sleep during the day (or night for that matter).
My worst issue is washing. We're using washable nappies and the amount of nappies we get through is amazing. We also have no drier so I'm struggling to dry the clothes/nappies too.
I'm determined to make an impact on things but am only going to aim for babysteps - level one.
Having a bit of a disaster today though - our fridge freezer has broke. Everything is in cool bags outside where its cold in the hope we can use some of it before it goes off. New one ordered but can't be delivered until Thursday.
Jobs done today:
tidy and clean main bedroom
change sheets on main bed
tidy and clean nursery
put away one load of dry clothes
put on 1 load of washing
make spare bed for mother in law whos visiting next week
tidy and clean study
tidy and start to clean bathroom (still need to do toilet and shower but baby needed me)
Still to do:
cook dinner (chicken pie)
clean toilet/shower
hoover upstairs
wash dishes
put away another load of dry washing
hang up washing to dry
put on another load to wash
level one kitchen tasks
Right now I'm holding my sleeping baby. I'm too nervous to put her down because everytime I do she wakes up. 5 more minutes and I will start on tasks to do.

Do you have a sling? I have heard loads of people swear by them, or what I did was my DS was sit him in his bouncy chair so he could see me as I worked, talking to him all the time. He seemed happy with that;):heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -

I've lost my keys.... at self.
It's wet and miserable and my knee is hurting and I have to walk. NN is going to pick up DD2 but DS3 has football club and needs to be picked up at 4.15 so I'll have to go out in the gloom anyway.
I had a bit of spare time on my hands at work today so I've organised a Mum's night out for DS3's class. Pub and curry:j.
Utility room thoroughly decluttered (looking for keys) and I've lent my MIL both my slow cookers as she is hosting a soup lunch for the WI tomorrow. This is good as the left overs come back in the SC and I get to eat it for lunch until it runs out.:)

I have more washing than China and winter kills me.. I currently have 4 overflowing baskets in the kitchen, one n the girls room piles on the floor on the landing and in my room and the landing the boys room is disgusting and I'm certain the cat has pooped in there somewhere.... I have done 4 loads today i have 1 lot on rads and the airer and 1 lot in the dryer and I don't know what to do with the rest.. I'dd hang it out but it is raining.
I have washable napies but I rarelly use them as it is impossible to get thm dry.. in summer it'll be fine.. nappy and a t-shirt and we are dressed!
It is recommended holdin a baby for 6 minutes after they are asleep before putting them down an more or less and they wake.. mine is 7 months on friday and being a limpet as she is full of cold.. and she can say mumumumumum so if put her down I just get naggedLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
