Using the above link using firefox, the "s" disappeared from the http, it reverted to https://www.18866.co.uk website, and it says the page cannot be found. Using IE, takes me to the unsecure site. Sergeant, is the padlock still visible when you access yours? Thanks0 -

I meant when joining them in the first instance, as there are no padlocks on that page you first type all your details into.
Cheers from a totally
discombobulated tweeter.
That's got me I'm afraid ......marylee wrote:Using the above link using firefox, the "s" disappeared from the http, it reverted to www.18866.co.uk website, and it says the page cannot be found. Win98SE/Firefox gives me secure access to both sites (the 's' and yellow padlock both stay visible in the URL window on Firefox).30 years, 217 days!0 -

Sergeant, the latest info I got from another forum is:-
"18866 isn't using any secure at all in IE or FF
no https on registration". I do not know what to do now. It has saved me loads on phone calls. As it is now, I do not access my online bill very often. Thanks for your help.0 -

Hi sarge,
Just tried Firefox browser out to join up to 18866 but the details popup from the page caused Mozzila to say it was not encrypted but the main page still showed a padlock.
A totally pixilated

No "s" or padlock visible when using firefox now since I upgraded to IE 6 service pk 1.0 -
Now I'm really stumped but, when I was working and had a computer problem, the techies always had a favourite 'fix-all' to remotely cure all manner of problems and an explanation to get themselves off the hook if that didn't work.
The first was (you're ahead of me here, I know), "Re-boot it."
The second was, "It's a software clash."

I've just had success singing up using this link:
https://www.call18866.co.uk/signup/signup1.php?language=
It seems that the first page of the signup process will not run securely, but subsequent pages do.0 -
