:j:j suzie wong – well done for number 7 & to not being paid on time

    Thank you BDINI :)

I thought I had some good news tonight. No, actually I DO have some good news, but for some reason DH didn't appreciate it. He ought to, because I have been offered as many hours as I like at school from september. As DH is being made redundant this year you would think he would see the advantages of this, but instead he went on about how I need to be careful not to take on too much etc.

Well done on the extra hours - you must be doing a great job. Try not to  OH, I think it's their cack-handed way of caring about us. :)

Thanks Kerri- you're probably right- I was just so pleased when I got home, but didn't get the response I was expecting. It's difficult because we don't yet know when he will be made redundant except that it could be any time from now until the end of the year. Having said that, we have to make plans for our survival because he earns twice what I earn, and as he is 58 and in a very specialised job he is highly unlikely to get another job quickly.
I suddenly felt that a lot of the worry was lifting from my shoulders, and then my excitement was shot down in flames!!

It's a good job he's gone to bed- I have dealt with my frustration by eating a caramel, drinking a diet coke, and having a rant on here, and now feel a bit better!! :rotfl:

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Good morning everyone!

Quickly popping in before dashing off to work smiley_running.gif to report that yesterday was NSD number 15 for me and so also means I'm up to 9 NSDs in-a-row! Woo hoo!

Unfortunately, the cupboards are now bare so a food shop is on the cards for later today, and the weekend will probably be a spendy one as I plan on meeting up with friends - looking forward to it though!

Must dash, (((hugs))) to those that need them, have a good day everyone and hope you all manage to catch a NSD! sunshine-012.gif

    Caught one!!

    On 4/12 now.

Today will be spendy, but as I seem to have forgotten about large chunks of work and admin that needs doing rather desperately, I think I'll be having a no-spend weekend!

    Good morning all!

Just catching up with everyone's posts!

We're a busy bunch arent we?

Suzi - well done on the extra hours - I'm sure OH is pleased for you, he will be worried about his own situ Im sure, but it's rotten when you are all excited about something and you dont get the reaction you hope for! We're all chuffed for you!:T
BDINI - sorry things are moving slowly on the job front, the sooner you get out of there the better, by the sound of things! Just tell them you have a load of pals armed with kippers and paintbrushes you can call upon to sort them out if there's any more bother!:rotfl: Glad the police matter is sorted though - what an unnecessary worry for you:(

Kerri - you better come back from Taiwan in one piece - that's an order!
Keiss - hope you feel better soon, sorry you're feeling carp

Beanie- please dont feel like a broken record - boo to falling, but hopefully we can help pick you up!

Donnadynamo - great news about the car, enjoy it!

Not sure if today is a spend or not. I need to get more meds for the cat but they are reclaimable via insurance. Another dry night last night, so that's good! He seems a bit happier too.
Just deciding what to get up to today, had a very busy day yesterday so I need to wind down a bit today!

    Have a lovely day everyone:)

    Hi suzie
You may well find it's a touch of jealousy that's making him behave like that. He's in a difficult situation (and probably knows it even if he's not admitting it), saw you getting extra work and felt a bit vulnerable (male ego and all that....). He'll come round:)

It must have been really deflating for you but we're all delighted for you so a huge WELL DONE!!!!

Nothing moving work wise, my old employer has still not completed my reference (been waiting since 31st Jan now ), so i can't set a start date for new job. Things still bad where i am now, atmosphere horrible in the office & i feel terribly isolated, but at least the police investigation (following the false allegations i mentioned a while back) has concluded no wrongdoing on my part, so i seem to be safe for now, although it's stressful wondering when the next mud will be thrown!!

Thanks for asking though, i reckon being able to share my stress here is the only thing that has kept me sane!!!!

As soon as i leave i will be throwing the biggest ever virtual party to celebrate with you all!!!

You share away BDINI, any time. what a dreadful situation to be in. Really pleased the investigation came to nothing but it's horrible having to go through that especially when you know you've done nothing wrong.

Hope the reference materialises soon and you can tell them what you think:D:D

    Take care

  • Hey peeps,

It's been so long since I last posted - had a busy weekend, and been doing overtime at work. So since I last posted, I have reached NSD number 7! I'm glad that I've increased my total, it was looking touch and go in the first few weeks of the month! Nearly at the halfway point :)
