And a good evening to you all, to be sure, on this St Paddy's Day evening. Well done for all the NSDs (sadly, they are in short supply chez Nargle at the moment but when NSD season opens again you just watch me go!) - think a few Guinnesses are called for! Are those little green creatures leprachauns I see before me? Or has Dopey let the aliens out again? (Is that how you spell leprachaun? Or am I away with the little people again?)

All together now ---sure a little piece of Heaven, fell out the sky one day.....or would you prefer Patrick McGinty's goat? I used to know all the words to that one when I was a little girl....(yes, I was a very sad 12 year old...)

    Evening All!

suzie wong - Spoony is prob right too, your OH is prob feeling a bit 'dented' atm and you being offered extra hours is prob a bit difficult for him to think about in a positive light atm. He must be really worried about finding a new job at the age he is, esp if it's specialised and I expect he's feeling (irrationally) guilty about you taking on extra hours. It is horrible when you're really excited about something and you don't get the reaction you expected :grouphug: I'm sure he'll come round. He prob needs a hug too right now x

jinty - great news that mog seems to be settling down again and seems to have his piddles under control again. I came home to find ours had left a poor wee bird on the patio as a present...I know I said we had nothing in for dinner but that really is taking MSE to the extreme :p

Thanks for all your kind comments about me making it back from Taiwan - assuming that I don't get fed anything too odd (i won't tell you some of the stuff I've seen or been asked to try over there) I will be fine.... hopfully I won't turn the lights off and glow green a-la Peckham Spring styleee (for all you Only Fools and Horses fans) :rotfl: seriously, we wouldn't be going if it looked to be seriously dangerous, and I'll be logging on to keep tabs on my NSD buddies so will keep you posted xx

No NSD for me, had to get a few bits n bobs for the trip, and also got snared by Clinque's Bonus time at B**ts, got two of the items I want to start using and a gorgeous bonus time tin with some useable goodies. I know their stuff is expensive but I do really think I've noticed a diff in my skin since using their moistureiser that I got free with Glamour.

Right - sorry for the long post. Hugs to everyone who's down at the mo xx

Oh, big Mumma - I meant to say, I know exactly how you feel. Met mine for lunch yesterday - all very nice, showed her my new TK M*xx coat - which she then put in my mind might be a bit big. So I texted her earlier to say I'd enquired about having it altered - and she called me this evening to say about the cost etc etc...perfectly reasonable, but managed to  me ...i'm going away tomorrow, not really the first thing on my mind atm and all that....now I need to call her to apologise for being a bit short :o

Well, somehow I managed to nab an NSD today, thus avoiding 4 spendy days in a row...nearly a wet paintbrush there!

    So I'm up to
    11 NSDs now....only 7 more to go!

Looks like I will have a spendy day tomorrow..had set money aside to post my bro's pressie, but now hope to have a man in to mend my oven! :j I got the new element online, so all he needs to do is fit it...shouldn't take him too long...or cost too much (here's hoping!!)

DH is also picking up (and paying for) some paint that we have reserved @ Homebase. They have a 3 for 2 offer on atm, and for tomorrow and Saturday only, there is an extra 20% off!! This way we will be saving over £20 on three tins...so can't be bad. :D DH will have a look at their laminate flooring too, and if he likes it, he might get some...otherwise we will have to make a trip to Ikea...oh what a shame! :rotfl:

Right, off to root out the candles for DH's birthday cake...we'll be having some once he gets off the phone to his sis in Canada.

Yet another dose of choc & beetroot brownie slab, with Delia's fudge icing...nom, nom!!

    Have a good evening all.

PS...can you tell I am feeling a bit better today...thanks for all the kind wishes

    Hello Gang.
Pleased to say I've got my dozen with no 12 today, & tomorrow will be a spendy cuz people will insist on eating :p

Got to wait at least three weeks to get muvva's results but I'm hoping I'll be able to get a bit more time at home. Apparently I only have two faults, namely everything I say & everything I do,
as she likes to point out at any & all opportunity :o & definitely shows promise of a full recovery

Great to have you back BMF, i was just starting to worry!
:rotfl: to your mum pointing out your faults, but i think you are right, it's definitely the right track for recovery!!
