The cheap ones from ebay are no good, the amplifiers only has a range of about 3 meters not the 300 it advertises. so unless your beside it it doesn't work.0

Will these carry all signals (i.e. for telephone calls and internet) as I get a poor reception at work? I'm with 02, and if these are good I might have to convince the boss to buy it! Do they really work? Any recommendations, is this one any good?

That is the company I got mine from.
(1) The item is not in the UK
(2) It is not CE certified
(3) It doesn't work up to 300 meters , more like 3 if nothings in the way
(4) It is a black box with some chinese squiggles on it not the one in the pic
(5) They are less enthuasatic to help when you tell them you want to return it under the 30 day return advertised0 -
You need to be licensed to broadcast a gsm signal in the uk by ofcom.
AFAIK you actually need it from the licence holder not OFCOM. Thats why the Suresignal can be sold as Vodafone sublicence you.
Asking any other network if you can put in a cheap chinese booster on the other hand and the licence may not be so forthcoming...0 -
If it is illegal I won't even suggest it to my boss. lol.
Thanks.
Maybe this will help...

Yep, so the long and the sort of the matter is, They are illegal and as useful as a chocolate fireguard. Save your money and sleep easy at night. Don't buy one.0

Mobile signal boosters are illegal to use, you can buy them, own them, keep them as long as you wish in your house that's perfectly fine, you just can't use them... but what's the point!!!!
have a look at the blog of cel-fi.co.uk there is a post there that talks about it, it also presents the solution for T-Mobile and Orange users in the UK
Hope that helps0 -
I made the big mistake of buying this totally useless product and as it did not work, I sent it back under the 30 day warranty. Initially they claimed they had not received it back but fortunately I sent it by registered post and proved they had received it.
They did their best to not refund my money and eventually after numerous e.mails, the threat of legal action got my money back.
I would advise you to avoid this dreadful company.0 -
Is the company BlackBox? http://www.mobilerepeatershop.com0

I use UMA with a Blackberry 9380 on Orange. This allows me to use any wifi as a cell service 'hot spot' works well as long as there is a decent broadband service, less than 1mb can mean dropped calls. Now T-mobile are part of Orange maybe they can use it to with the right phone..
