I am pleased you are feeling better Mr B. Feb/March seems to have been a down time for lots of us. Hopefully the sunshine will help when it appears.

I don't know how much work you need done, but £200 sounds quite high for just some php and mysql work. The last time I needed a db driven site produced I paid that and they did all the HTML/CSS work as well all I did was provide them with the graphics I wanted and details of the content.
The guy I use is a Brit, so there is no problem with mistakes due to language barriers (which is something I suffered a lot of when I used some non-English speaking freelancers). He is also likely to work outside of one of the Freelance sites if he knows you are coming to him on a recommendation, which will automatically save you a few % off the bill (can't remember what Elance's charging structure is but it's over 5%). He is also flexible with how he charges - so if he thinks it is a smallish job, he will give a max price and then charge per hour (and will account for the time he has spent).
I will gain nothing from it (I've referred a couple of friends to him and he didn't give me anything), but he might reduce the rate a bit if you tell him who referred you as I've given him a fair amount of work in the last year.
Even if you just want a comparison price to check you aren't being over charged, it might be worth a second opinion.0 -

Random post from me Mr B.
The girls and I watched an old episode of Grand Designs last night, we love the programme. A couple were building a modern house on Skye, it looked like a coffin initially  , the locals hated it, but by the time it was finished complete with grass roof it looked beautiful. The views were too die for and looked amazing . I want to go.
Thats it from me, just thought I would tell you.
Hope you are ok xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Hello Mr B :hello: so sorry I've been MIA especially when you have had such a rough couple of weeks.PinotGrigio41 wrote: »Mr B you sound so down . Its horrible to think of you this sad.
I think many people spend money when they feel low. We try and make ourselves feel better by buying things even if its just a coffee, after all you wouldnt treat yourself to a new lipstick like us girls would you ? ! :rotfl:
I know one of the reasons I find myself in debt is due to past sadness overspending episodes but as long as you keep an eye on it, the odd coffee now and again won't hurt.
Glad you got the bus pass sorted out, even if it cost you £25 to replace.
Have you thought about getting one of these spring clip coil things,
to keep it attached to your clothes?
I'm so sorry to hear things are so no right with you and DW and wonder, (if you don't mind me saying), whether you should be thinking of this B&B idea at the moment with things the way the are. What if things get worse between you? I know I'd be reluctant to venture into anything like this with my OH at the moment the way things are and it sounds to me as though you are in a similar place.
Lots of hugs and love for you Mr B, you come across as such a kind caring man and like Mrs PG says, I hate to think of you feeling so sad. Remember we are here for you for as long as you need us, (even if we go missing now and then)

Dear Mr B, these regular migraines are worrying. If they continue I think you need to get yourself to the doctor for a check up. I'm sure they are stress related but always best to check to be on the safe side.
Love and hugs as always.
