Mr B you sound so down . Its horrible to think of you this sad.

The Bacon roll and Latte ( with a shot of vanilla) in my case, is also my favourite pick me up. The bacon must be very burnt though. I think many people spend money when they feel low. We try and make ourselves feel better by buying things even if its just a coffee, after all you wouldnt treat yourself to a new lipstick like us girls would you ? ! :rotfl:

The ebay dispute sounds pants, I must admit I would just refund them the item just to get shot of them and save myself the stress , time and effort. Thats not ideal I know but then I am a pushover and sometimes with a thousand other things going on (as you have ) it might be easier to just give them back their money and tell them to get lost . I am sure I will be told off now by tougher folk ! :D

I like peace and quiet as well, and it sounds as though the house your wife looked at wouldnt suit you. Surely there must be a compromise to be made here. I agree with the others, maybe its time to sit her down and tell her the truth about the money. Im sorry I cant remember the reasons why you feel that you can't. Please dont feel that you need to tell us all again though. You appear to be shouldering every burden on your own, its affecting your health badly and it cant go on.

As for the house, why don't the rest of the family help you, I cant understand it. Apologies if I am speaking out of turn, but I wouldn't allow DS to eat in his room and if he does its his responsibility to tidy and clean it up. Surely the family can see how much you are doing. They need to start mucking in and helping you out.
Sorry, Mr B I have my angry head on today !

As far as the money situation goes, I know you are trying to move house, but once this were done, might you be able to tell your wife ( assuming there is still debt left) and consider a DMP. Hopefully at least the interest will be frozen and you can start to make in roads into the debt and not need to rely on the cards to cover the bills. It seems as though you a treading water.

Im sorry that I have gone on a bit, I really hope you feel a little better today. We are all here and sending you massive hugs.

Mr B, you have such a lot on your shoulders. Can you share it with your brother as he knows the situation. Or share with DW?

I found when I eventually told Mr P I didn't get the reaction I expected, except his depression got worse :( How will your DW take it? It was the only way I could get Mr P to stop spending on incidentals that all added up. And now that he knows it has taken a huge pressure off me. He still buries his head in the sand :D

I have made my kids clean their rooms since they were little. I don't touch anything in their rooms now and I still refuse to let them go out when they need cleaning. They are 22, 24, 26 but they live in my house so have to stick to my rules. It is great as two of them don't have cars so need mine to get out. I can refuse to lend it until the room is clean and tidy, usually works ;) When they were younger I took play station etc away from them.. Maybe you can think of something to erm.. encourage them to clear up after themselves.

We came close to DMP last week only to be bailed out by my aunt. I rang Payplan and they couldn't have been more help. It seemed like the end for me before I rang them but they helped me to see there is a way out. Only problem I could see was telling Mr P and he again surprised me by agreeing. ATM Payplan is on hold as we may have a way out of this mess.

Must dash as doing the washing in the cottage today. I need to get it out before the next people arrive at 3pm !!

Vodafone called me back. I thought they were going to discuss me having to pay £76 termination charge and now paying again on the new contract. I understand if I had stayed with another provider but to come back within two weeks and am being charged twice is robbery.
Not impressed with Vodafone at all. Apart from getting a good signal whilst on public transport they seem only to be happy to take your money.
Vodafone wanted to discuss the Sure Signal which is now working of its own accord.

    Hi bonnington,

Thanks for updating the thread to confirm that your Sure Signal is now working.

In regard to your outstanding billing query I'll call you later this afternoon.

    Kind regards,

    Mr B,

You sound a little happier, I hope things are back on track a little with Mrs B after the words the other day.

A debt of £9K ish would be a great reduction if things went to plan wouldn't it and would hopefully relieve some of the stress for you.

Hope the training went ok at work yesterday x

    Hi Mr B

Sorry things have been pretty up and down. You do seem to shoulder a lot of responsibility. I agree with the others...you need to come clean with your OH. Its her debt too...and she needs to share the responsibility.

Yes get rid of the rodents:rotfl: that's money you can throw at debt or stop it increasing.

I love Skye. But Mull even more....:T although Skye has Talisker...well that's a toughie:T not sure I can choose between them!

It is a shame DD can't go to Spain but will that save you some money that you can ill afford anyway?

i would get rid of the expensive bank account and stick with the one that you can use through the PO. We bank with a co that we can use through PO and what a help it is. Otherwise we have a 50 mile round trip to a bank!! Skye will be just like that.

I love Mull too but have been offered a free week in a cottage on Skye. Not sure if we should task it up as we can't afford fuel to get there :( I think this year may be one without a holiday.
