Hi Bonnington
The price reduction on your pet food is good, hope you have had a nice couple of days and you spend less tomorrow!!

Good news on the pet food if it works out cheaper
Bad news about the buses though! I suppose at least you can count the walk up the hill as your daily exercise (I would anyway lol)
I hope tomorrow is a better day and you get your NSDMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. I recently lost my gerbils, they were 5 years young. I only have my cat now who is 18 years young and costs quite a bit as he has got very fussy and likes chicken.
Good luck with your debt free journey.MFI3 T3 # 750 -
we haven't got any animals i'm allergic so I had to give my cat away (well he went to mums as ds1 wouldn't part with him!) But we're on the look out for a dog that won't play havoc so much with my asthma!
I gave up on the idea of animals in cages a long time ago though lol. When I was younger my dad would bring us home a new pet every other month! we had 15 cats at one point (2 ours, 13!!!! rescued ones) 3 dogs, 4 rabbits, 3 hamsters, fish & ferrets & ponies :rotfl::rotfl:luckily i wasn't allergic then eh, or they may have just finished me off! I certainly couldn't afford more than one pet now, and even then I shouldn't really have any because we are trying to stick to budget
!
Instead of aiming for NSDs bonnington why don't you aim for so many LSD's a week, i.e less than a fiver (or however much bus costs) and then so many nsd's a month. I found it really hard at first. But now i buy most of my monthly shop in the first week (i.e bulk of teabags, dishwasher tablets, meat etc) I find i don't need to go out so much during the week....but it honestly took me months before i organised myself enough to get to 10 a month and if you go on the nsd thread there are peeps on there getting 15+ now that is what i am aiming for!
Oh and i agree about the tissues, that is my luxury in winter, i buy kleenex balsalm (spelling?)nothing like a red sore nose :rotfl:

Hi Bonnington
That's so annoying about the bus , but as you say, at least you can count the hill climb as part of your exercise.
That is quite a few petsalthough I must admit I'd probably have more if I could afford it. We have two cats at the moment, and that's enough with the cost of food, treatments and potential vet bills.
I think DFW321's idea of LSDs is a good one. It's something I should consider, but I haven't trained the family sufficiently yet :rotfl:

Hi Bonnington
Just came across your diary, good luck .It always seems an uphill struggle and especially hard dealing with it on your own,
My dh knows about our finances but wont take any interest in them, he doesnt believe in cutting back too much as he feels he works hard enough to deserve things.
I firmly believe in pad,pay a debt a day and most days send at least a £1 to loans or mortgage etc.
coupons have helped bring my grocery bills down big time heres a link

Hi Bonnington
20 minutes is fine especially as you have a hill to walk up lol
Which survey sites do you use, I always get screened out and give up. I think I should give it another try.
Keep up the good work although I dont always comment i'm always lurking and read everyday xElectric and Gas Predators 17/£700:j:j:j October make £10 a day challenge :j:j:j£155/£3100 -
Hi Bonnington
Thanks for the hint about the Sainsbury card rate. I've just had a look, but haven't been able to find out if it's anyone else other than Sainsbury's Bank. If this is right, think I might apply too. It's too good to miss and I haven't applied for anything (other than phone updates) for a couple of years.
Let us know if you apply...
