Stick at it Bonnington. Remember that even if your debt goes up that it would have been even higher if you weren't taking the money saving measures that you are. So you still owe less than you would have!!!GC 2024 £1445.91/£3000

Hi Bonnington,
Just popping in to see how things are. Hope your finger is ok! Silly question, but have you tried covering your finger in soap or washing-up liquid to see if that makes it slippy enough to get off?
Is the car behaving itself and have you kicked the coffee habit yet??

Hi Bonnington
Thanks for your support, it helps me keep on track!
The shopping bill does seem massive but you may need your wife support in getting it reduced. Have you thought about growing some fresh veg/fruit or getting some chickens you may also get to sell the excess to neighbours or people at work.

I always put in what I currently pay, or you could put in the amount which covers the interest/account fees etc.
Do you have anything to sell? any other way of generating money? can your wife contribute more? are you able to shift any higher interest cards to lower?
I'm sure you have already looked at these options but thought I would check just in case xElectric and Gas Predators 17/£700:j:j:j October make £10 a day challenge :j:j:j£155/£3100 -

Hi Bonnington,
I've just read through your diary and will subscribe
Have you thought about posting up a SOA on here to see if there any other cut backs you could make. Does your wife work full time too? And how do you split the bills and spends. Perhaps she could have her ebay spends each month but within a budget that works for you both?
I agree about posting on here every day, it really has helped to keep me motivated. Although my situation is a little different as we went down the DMP route I have the same amount of debt as you (not including the mortgage) so we can keep each other motivated. Did you do any better at keeping the grocery spends down? For 2 adults, 3 kids (1 away at school a lot and 2 toddlers) and no pets we spend £250 approx each month. Before MSE it was £120+ each week!
Have you now got all your apr's for all your debts together? I had to do this when I first had my LBM and OMG!! I thought some apr's were only 17% they were nearly 50!!!!!!!! Could have knocked me down with a feather!! I can't believe they get away with it!
Anyway, the race for NSD's is still on! We will get there :rotfl:
