Your gas bill is really high, does your income include overtime? Can you cut mobile usage?
Without your wife knowing of the debt it maybe hard to cut back without raising questions. Is it definately not an option to talk to her about this?Electric and Gas Predators 17/£700:j:j:j October make £10 a day challenge :j:j:j£155/£3100 -
I agree the gas looks high & mobile but then if that is for a few mobiles it's understandable. I have 45 in my budget per month for 3 mobiles (me, dh, ds1)
Is your mortgage on repayment or interest only? If it's repayment perhaps look into doing interest only for the foreseeable future and what you are not paying there throw at the debt? is the other travel for dd driving lessons? Will you not need more money towards xmas than what you have budgeted?

Hi Bonnington! I'm so sorry I missed your diary updates! SO a VERY happy belated BIRTHDAY!!!!
As for the nsd's you'll get there I remember when i first tried to do them and I would fail nearly every time. Now i'm pretty good at just rearranging the days that need to be spendy so i can do it all at once. So really I probably spend the same amount overall lol but compact them into fewer days !
Well done on your exercise, I've promised myself the same and not done it thoughi'm so unmotivated to do exercise it's unbelievable. I hate it! Even the fun exercising like zumba or just walking (soooooooo lazy, no wonder i need to lose weight!)

bonnington wrote: »I got all my jobs completed today and more! Most of them were completed by 9am. I was up at 6am as I had to drop the family off to the minibus for their trip before 7am.
Also completed self assessments for myself and my wife. My wife's was straightforward but there should have been a tax refund as we made a loss on our business and it gets offset against her income. Ended paying 60p.
Entered the money I have made from surveys, because the site said it sends a list to HMRC. Entered the loss from our business, which was the same amount as the money I made. Therefore I expected to be even. It made me pay £47.80.
I called HMRC but the tax return I uploaded is not visible to them until Tuesday. I have to phone them then.
Still waiting to hear the outcome of the loss we made in 07-08 year. we may be able to get a refund. I wrote to them middle of August and they replied this week to advise they have not looked into it yet. My wife got her letter a couple of weeks ago.
They're quick enough to take the money, but like everyone, slow to give it back.
Had shopping delivered today so a spend day. Shopping is going to be way over figure as my wife bought bits yesterday for home and her day out. Trouble is I had already placed an order for home delivery. Never mind, hopefully next week will be well below estimate.
I moved some money from two overdrafts today to a credit card. The credit card is 19.9%. One overdraft is a fixed £10 charge and was already overdrawn so I thought I might as well max it as would have been charged £10 anyway. The other overdraft is 9.4%
Updated signature and debt has decreased by about £500.
Double checked and treble checked as I cannot believe it. Checked all figures on my spreadsheet.
I was naughty today as with everybody out I could not be bothered to cook tea and spent £5.30 on a chicken curry at shop. :embarasse
I bet the soup tasted even nicer though ....it always does when it's a naughty treat!
I hope you sort out the tax asap. You're right, they take the money off of us quick as a flash and if we're owed anything they take forever to pay up  they've done this to us a few times too!!
£500 off your debt is great :T well done, you're doing so well now to keep up the momentum!

Hi Bonnington
Well done on bringing your debt down, that's a great figure.
Shame about the spends on the trip, but inevitable I would say, I know it would be if it was my family.
Hope you can manage to balance it by the end of the month, or at least do some effective damage limitation.
