  • Morning Bonnington :)

We've also received letters telling us they are increasing interest on cards. Need to call the cccs now to see if we can get it stopped again otherwise we are paying them each month and it's not even covering the interest they are applying. So annoying!

Hope all is well with you :)

  • Great news from Santander bonnington, well done !

Sounds like the tiling is coming along great, but you do sound worn out and stressed. Do you every take a bit of time out for yourself ? I knwo its easier said than doen sometimes though .

Cant believe how well you do with the blasted surveys. I wish I had half the concentration as you ,to sit through the blasted things. I think I probably have about 50p sitting in my survey accounts as I wander off leaving them unfinished !

Hope your day goes well today x

  • morning bonnington,

how about a look at these sites:

I think you need to be buying yourself your own snacks that you are allowed so when you are peckish you won't want to reach for DD's...
    http://www.livestrong.com/article/262357-healthy-snacks-for-blood-pressure/
    http://foods-that-lowerbloodpressure.com/2011/super-foods-that-lower-blood-pressure-naturally

A lot of them seem to be fruit veg, nuts etc so perhaps cutting & preparing them when you buy them and leaving them in the fridge readay to snack on when you are hungry? Perhaps DD could keep the goodies in her room that she likes so you don't have easy access to it. I buy my son bulk loads of crisps etc for his tuck box and i put them in his room so i forget about them a little easier. I have caved a couple of times and gone for them but mostly i'm good and will have something else! Your BMI isn't hugely high but to cut risks of any disease you could lose some weight (same as me!) How bout taking up some cycling with DW or one of the kids at the weekend, it's not too strenuous and you could go as far or near as you liked really?!

I hope you have a good day off. And relax. Constant stress is not good for anyone. I think you should take up meditation like me ;) it's helped me no end in the stressing out department! x

  • :( that's rubbish news about the oven. Can you not just get a cheapy for now until monetary situation improves a little?? If not then you'll have to get it, I suppose DW would be quite suspicious of you if you insisted on cooking over the open fire instead of an oven

    dfw :)

DW does not really want to spend the money either.

You wants to sort out the debt, which she thinks is about £9,000

If she knows there is debt of £9,000 i'd be tempted to tell her of a few more (so long as you can remember how they accumulated) she must realise you don't go out and spend it all on yourself so surely would be a little more leniant than you think? How does she plan on tackling the 9k though? Perhaps if you two could give the 9k a good bashing then you'd only have just over half left that you know about (and surely more managable) have you thought about a dmp (sorry if i already said this i can't remember lol bad memory )

Well, DD & DS arrived home at about 12:40am.
We finally went to bed at about 1:15am :(

Woke up at about 8:15 so not too bad.

I have done some grouting of the tiles today and also had Mr A deliver the shopping and had to go to Mr T for three things I forgot. :(

I cooked tea and have washed up so am taking it easy this evening. :D

DW is listing on ebay. It has been about 7 degrees here again today. A spring-like day. :)

Ok, now your showing off and taunting me with the temperature in sunny scotland !:rotfl:

Glad the tiling is still coming along well, its so time consuming though isn't it, but I bet you are a perfectionist and doing a lovely job.

So sorry to hear about the oven, is it worth a really good search around for a second hand one. If DW knows about the £9000 then she will hopefully just think you are being sensible rather than suspicious ? I think DFW idea of open fire cooking sounds wonderful !! You could roast a few chestnuts while you were at it !!

This is a good idea. Put in some austerity measures to pay the '£9k' back but tell her you're only making half the progress you really are. So for every £100 you manage to knock off the debt, pay £50 to something she knows about (like the boiler loan) but pay half to something she doesn't know about.

I was hoping to get quite a few jpbs done today and I feel a lit under the weather. :(

I picked up some leaves and went on the exercise bike for 35 minutes.
I had something to eat and started to feel a bit poorly. Maybe I had too much sweet stuff.

I have managed to sort out thre tiles on the tiling front before I gave up.
I have had a sleep for about one and a half hours.
Off to get DD & DS from scghool shortly nad it may have to be a take away for tea.
Got to take DS to the gym for an induction at 6pm.

DW wants to leave the oven for now until we can sell enough stuff to generate about £600 to buy a new hob and oven,
I did suggest buying a microwave/oven combination but she is not into these.
We will manage with the hob and standard microwave.

Off to get the children. :)

This is good news (in a round about way?!) why don't you suggest to DS & DD they have a clear out in their room and sort from that anything worth ebaying and put into a special fund for the oven? You could perhaps see if you have any areas of the house that need de-cluttering & ebay/ fb sell/ pre-love it etc

Does your wife work in a place with lots of people? Perhaps she could look into doing avon, it's low cost set up and would only need a couple of brochures to pass around? I know a few people on here that make good extra money each month from this?

Can't think of any more money spinning ideas lol but i'm sure you can and get DW on board for it, you never know she may catch the mse bug :)

Are you paying for DS gym fees? Hope it isn't too much :)
