fab Stevie! thank you! I hopefully get paid Saturday, so can go and stock up on meat. I had to put back reduced lamb mince yesterday, it was only £1.32 as didn't have enough money.
But that's ok. Can wait until sat.
Am going to work out how much I can save at tescos, but need to go and collect avon books and DS wants to go out.
Aww Aesop am so sorry to hear you didnt have enough money for the lamb mince yesterday. Which was a bargin at that price.0 -
It doesn't matter Steve. When I get paid Sat, will do a proper shop and stock up on things like meat, that I can freeze, in my tiny icebox...lol.
I still have a big sack of potatoes that I have in an old pillowcase under my stairs, as it dark, dry and cold under there, so they keep longer.
I am just down to my last tin of peas from nettos big buy a few weeks ago, so doing well.
I will do a tesco shop probably in the pm, after Fire Station visit and will save loads there too.
Then will head over to weezel's receipe thread for ideas.0 -
it's all in the planning.. and fridgefreezer cleaning
:rotfl:
Just got diced steak in slow cooker and, I didn't know this but thanks to netmums (thanks Aesop!) I now know that your meant to rool the meat in seasoned flour, fry off with some onions then hoss it in the slow cooker.. not put the raw stuff in.. eeek, nee wonder I cannat make a decent casserole.
Anyway, I'm not here. phone pinged to tell me I have a facebook message and can guess it was a link for a special causeoff to give some pennies

Hi guys - been busy today - took my friend for her shopping at Tatco's, then picked Mr 3Dogs up after her had been setting up his stall for tomorrow's car boot. When we got back, I unpacked her shopping, and stayed and had a cuppa and a chat, while Mr 3Dogs fitted the new radiator in the van, which had arrived early this morning - and, good news so far, he got it fitted and has nipped down to the auction to pick up some of the bits he bought yesterday so he can check them through and take them down to sell tomorrow - so this run into town should test out the new radiator
Seems like there's lots going on here - but will have to pop straight back off-line as I need to get started making my home-made beefburgers for dinner - with some L!dl half-price mince of course and I will make extra and freeze them for Mr 3Dogs to use when I am away
Will be back online after dinner x x xMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Aesop, the reciepe for the burgers is a pack of mince beef, 1 egg whisked and a chopped onion. then mix all together in a bowl and then make them into burgers. maybe add a bit of chili sauce to spice them up a bit.
its so simple even i can make them...:D but i dont burn mine like Susan dose..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Rar.. Steve do you burn anything?
Off to make Yorkshire Puddings. Aunt Bessie can tittle off in my house0
