Hello i just popped on to say all is well. Steve is so funny on the phone. Am not quite sure how coherent i was on the phone - slightly cream crackered at the time but now i feel much better.

Happiness is conversations with steve. Susan i just wanted to say thank you so much for trying to help. You always leap to my defence. I do love you, I am so happy i know you all. Goodnight. I've organised to go to a fire station on Saturday, not had many replies, but seeing signs that it is going to be popular!

Hello, had early night and feeling lot better, I have some l€msip in my lunch box for later. Yuk...

I was self employed and paid for SE NI contributions but then I got a job and started paying NI through my employment and never told them to stop my dd. So I had a deadline in January to claim money back from tax year 09-10 so I claimed 10-11 at the same time and asked them to stop the dds. Over £200 back with just one letter - result

I shall have a looksie what you were up to last night during my lunch break. We are off as soon as Postman Pat finishes. I should probably go to Master Mind with children's programmes as my specialty subject :rotfl:

it's going to be one bizarre and difficult day.

Aesop, you mentioned netmums. will that help me with children's food issues? Will look later anyway.

Hi Marru, you and me both with the kiddies progs. There's one on a channel my eldest is watching called Aesop's Theatre.. poor Aesop enters my head every time :rotfl: I say poor as my heqd isn't the best place to be :eek:

there are professionals on there who can help and if you go to Coffeehouse chat, there are other mums who will have been in the same situation who can give advice and support.

Have you tried your local Surestart/Children's Centre? They may have someone who can give you advice too.

I am a volunteer Chairmum of our area Netmums Meetups. That means I organise at least 6 events a year, that encourage mummies,daddies, carers to come along and meet other people, and hopefully bond new friendships that will help and support them.

We both know as mums, how hard it is when you first become a mum to make new mummy friends, I really struggled. I did the meet a mum on netmums, but one mum I actually got to meet, I didn't gel with, and that experience put me off and I never tried again.

Instead I went to a baby group with DS from 3 months, and "forced" 2 mums to go with me for a coffee after the baby group, I tried it with other mums but whether they were just too shy, had enough mummy friends, etc, those friendships didn't pan out. I am pleased to say the 2 mummies I dragged kicking and screaming to the coffee place are good friends of mine. They support me and I support them. That is nearly 3 years worth of friendship

Hence why I have become chairmum of my area group. I want other mummies to be able to make friendships, it's not easy and when you are shy, even harder.

The reason we are going to the Fire Station, I organised the visit, as it is very popular with the Chairmum netmums. They always get a good turn out. It is free, most kids are into the fire engines for a short time and the firemen are great with showing them around, etc.

Plus DS missed out last month, his nursery had Firemen come in with the Fire Engine, but it was on a day he wasn't at the nursery.

Miche, you can always e-mail if you want to sound off, have a chat, etc. If I am at work, Mon-Wed, probably won't reply until evening but otherwise, am usually glued to phone....:rotfl:

Morning all, well it is nearly afternoon. I slept like a log. It is a beautiful day outside, simply stunning. Off to worky poos at 12.30-1ish am chilling till then. Summer is nearly here. Hooray.

Am going off to work back late. Have a good'un. Spent morning in bed. Naughty me!

Afternoon! Its overcast here sw They said it was going to brighten up yesterday but it hasn't happened yet. (woo, just finished writing my post and the suns come out!! Perhaps God himself heard me)

I've just had a nose bleed, and i haven't tidied my room, or job searched yet. Bargain hunt is on, so that will cheer me up
