i keep getting distracted by pointless stuff... eg. the other day despite being really busy, i spent nearly three hours trying to create perfect copies of mcdoomalds instant win tickets... for fries and apple pies and burgers etc... all stuff that i'm not allowed to have anyway! No reason for doing it, except just to prove to myself that i could. I guess now all i need to do is prove that i can clear this huge backlog of boring paperwork instead! zzz0

Night SW! Have a good rest, you have had a busy day too.
Hope 3Dogs is fast asleep in the land of nod. She is a very good friend too.
puds, marru suggested something, not worked for me yet, but tackle the jobs in 15 minutes bursts. Do 15 mins, then do something nice that you like for 15 mins. Read a book, go on the internet, watch a program, listen to music, then go and tackle another 15 mins of the job.0 -
Add: you know, I was just thinking .................... Puds & Vix haven't been with us that long, but they are a big part of the thread and fit in sooooo well - WE ARE FAMILY x x x
Ha really? I've always thought (esp me) that i just harp on about myself and everyones waiting for the day i don't come back!! haha.savingwannabe wrote: »Shurrup. We love you. I have degrees but am thick at real life. Ever met anyone who walks into lamposts when they are sober? Well sweetie you just pulled one!
Hahahaha well funny!! I remember when i was a girl i saw this girl walk straight into a lampost. Probably 8 years or so later she came to work at debs and i said, "was it you that walked straight into the lampost in x place?" she said yes! hahaha. Funny what you remeber!!0 -
Ted, jesus christ! Why are you spending 3 hours wasting your life on that for? Thats three hours you could have exercised for. And why have you given up everest??????????
I've been to the pub, i tried bombay saphire or whatevs its called. I like it!! We were sat (after 3 or 4 gins) talking about sex and our first times yada yada, and this bloke was facing side ways to us. My friend wrote in a text, does he need to face sideways? so then she blurts out, "Why do you need to sit sideways when your chair points the other way" and he shot round straight in his chair. It was soooooo funny!!! Blaters listening in, and after a few gins/tia marias you let loose with the words a bit! Still, we wont be seeing him again!
And i'm off to bed! Night all xx0 -
Hi aesop - ive abandoned everest :-(
it was just too time consuming.
I feel a bit thick around all these people with degrees!
No degrees here Puds so never let that stop ypou posting - my brother is the one with the brains M Sc PHD etc, my sister got 7 o'levels and I got 5 - but my Dad always said I had common sense which was much more important
Remember, this is a forum thread where we look after each other .... not Master Mind :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

As you can guess Kit, and Aesop and Vix - I am not yet in bed - freezer not quite defrosted yet  I've just the last ice at the top to get rid of, then wipe it all out to dry it, and put it back on to refreeze overnight, ready to put food back in there tomorrow morningMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

oh 3Dogs
did you put a pan of hot water in the freezer? I find that helps it to defrost quicker.0 -

Yes Aesop, I keep replacing the boiling water to speed things up - I can hear the large blocks of ice falling as I sit here - better warn any ocean crossing cruise ships passing byIt really is nearly finished - just going to check again now
