Blimey that is a wee bit scarey 3dogs but may well be anxiety/ type symptoms.
My friend also had the paramedic situation & thats what it turned out to be in the end~very scarey though.
    Take care xxx

Hiya everyone and thanks for your kind words happy0159.gif and we think it is panic attacks too, which have got worse with all the worry recently. Thing is, I never seem to be particular worried about something or doing something when they come on - I can be just sitting watching TV or wandering round the supermarket. Anyway, I had my ECG but will call tomorrow for my blood tests, and we will get it sorted out

Mr 3dogs has 2 of our dogs out now, and when he comes back, he will take Bonnie along to our neighbour's to take her out with Misty, and I will go along for cuppa and chat, so I will be back about 7 pm or 7.30 pm :j :j :j :j

  • 3Dogs that is exactly what happened to me. I was just walking down for A one afternoon, not thinking about anything in particular, nothing worry me really, just a routine walk. Out of the blue I felt like I had a pain in my chest, couldn't breathe very well and felt my heart pound. I picked A up, walked back up that hill and rang NHS Direct. You know the next bit but I had no idea it was a panic attack because I wasn't thinking negatively at all. There was no reason for it. I haven't had one since though and that was around mid last year. Are yours happening regularly?

Dipping in and out tonight. Hope Kit is ok at work, what time is she due home?

When your body feels stressed, it tries to push the stress out through you skin or any other means imaginable. Your body just does not like the feel of stress. Quite a few years ago, when DH and I had first moved into together, money was really tight. We were living off my penny jar, a loaf of bread, a tin of peas, a packet of eggs and chips from the chippy until payday. I felt so stressed that when I stopped feeling stressed, my body couldn't handle it. So I got these strange raised bumps all over my back ! Very strange looking, and I went to see the Dr who said they were caused by stress and would go away on their own. I said I wasn't stressed but I had been a few months ago. He said this is what happens when your body feels stressed. It reacts in all types of strange ways. And like you both said, you were calm, resting, but the body used to stress, reacted and gave you a panic attack.

My eczema is coming back with a vengeance and I only get that when I am stressed.

I get this eczema like thing on my elbow when im stressed, but i have to be quite a bit streesed for that to come on. Its alwas on the left elbow, unless im really stressed and it goes to both!! Odd isnt it? I hope you're going to be ok 3dogs. At least you're getting it checked out, its best to be safe rather than sorry :)

I cooked a kick !!!! beef stir fry today. Tasted gorge. Followed by one pancake!!

Is anybody giving up anything for lent? I haven't thought of anything i particularly want to give up... chocoalte is the most obvious, but i don't like biscuits or cakes so its one of my few vices! My mum said i should give up sex (i still think she thinks i had a one night stand when i didn't come home the other night! I didn't btw)

I'm back guys :j :j after a nice long natter with my friend :D

Chelle, Kit is working till 9.15 pm so won't be on here till after 9.30 I would think - don't know why she is working today as it is her day off

I have been getting the flutterings for many years, probably 20 or even 30, as I can't remember not getting them. However, the extra intensity I get now has been creeping on over the last 5 or 6 years I guess. I call them light flutterings, medium and intense. I reckon I get the light flutters almost every day, the medium about 5 or 6 a month, and the intense, about once a month perhaps - generalising here mind you

Of course I forgot to tell the doctor about a couple of other things :o after the last two intense episodes, I have had tingling in my left arm/hand, and one morning after a shower and when I was about to get dressed, I had to sit on the bed as my heart pounded like it had never done before, fast and faster, deeper and deeper, and I thought 'when is this going to stop?' but I kept calm and started deep breathing through nose and it did calm down eventually - guess I'll have to mention this to doc next time I see him - should have written it down really :o

evening all....hope you have all had your pancakes?

We did, apart from steve as he doesnt like them, made them a bit different this time, I added some baking powder to the basic batter mixture then made it thicker than normal (ie added extra flour) then when u put them in pan they rise and you make them smaller (like the american style) They were quite successful, and were very light. Served them with sliced banana, fried in sugar and butter (sorry susan) and then added some dark rum.

Glad you went to dr's Susan, and lets hope you can get the panic attacks sorted.

I agree with you Aesop about the body doing wierd things due to and after stress, as Vix just pointed out in her case with the eczema
