Anyway, some good news, I think
Mr 3Dogs and I have been discussing his car booting and his Incapacity Benefit recently. He is allowed to do it as we notified the benefits office he was doing it under agreed Permitted Work rules, but still worries in case he gets into trouble doing it while claiming. We are straight down the line where things like that are concerned, and feel like we are the sort of people to get caught doing just a little wrong when so many others are getting away with 'murder'
Well, we came to a conclusion - and he is now self-employed as from Monday 7th March as a market trader - I rang the benefits people and told them he was signing off sickness and going self-employed and they said he would get letters confirming it, with details of a job grant they give to anyone getting work after being on benefits (either £100 or £250 not sure), plus a Return to Work Benefit which gives him £40 a week tax-free for 52 weeks, so it can't be bad can it??
I have to work out our SOA to check my DRO is still OK but I am sure it will beand nothing has come out yet about the planned changes to DRO's regarding pension funds, so it looks like he won't be able to apply for one himself just yet anyway
