Again, this post is taken directly from the Autoquake training manual (not a very hefty volume).

    The customer is :

    'an inconvenience'

    'impossible to please'

    'childish'

    'a conspiracy theorist'

    'a prat'

'goes running to Trading Standards' (outrageous!! people seeking their legal rights!!)

I've heard this verbatim from the mouths of the Autoquake salesmen and seen it on the Internet many times. The same old dross, every time.

What you have to remember is that without a customer, your wonderful e-commerce "business" vanishes very quickly. Is that why you suddenly closed your Bristol and B'ham depots?? Or was it because of all these "childish" customers refusing to buy your knackered old cars??

    Just asking.

You are delusional mate. Seriously. For your own sake, I think you need to go and see a head doctor.

You have refused to answer any of the questions. A typical Autoquake technique.

No customer = no pay cheque.

Still think we're all delusional prats? Still think you can live without us?

How's it working out so far??

Well, seeing how I own and run a small computer repair workshop not a multi-million pound ecommerce, yes, I still think YOU are a delusional prat.

    Try:

No businesses = no products and services = back to the stone age!

i did post on the previous thread when i bought my car from aq last september,,,,,,,to recap,,,,i was very happy.

i took out a two year extended warranty and last night my water pump decided to die,,,rang the recovery number in the warranty booklet and i had someone with me within 30mins,,,they towed the car to their own garage because i didnt know who was the local approved repairer for the warranty company. i rang them this morning and they said to get the garage to phone them with a diagnosis of what was wrong. They have agreed to replace the water pump, parts and labour. because its not a warranty approved garage they are sending the parts to them and i will have to pay the labour and then claim it back.

so,,autoquake im happy with and the warranty company im happy with.

You're one of the lucky ones. As long as you're happy, that is what's important.

Damn, this tinfoil hat is prickly today.

But no doubt you paid extra for the warranty?

Of course he did. A 2 year warranty on a standard hatchback is £700 from Autoquake. They charge £800 or more for a large car.

    Nobody made him buy it.

Shock horror, I must be on the inside for having such an opinion!
  • Alcan, i have to confess i dont really understand what you want from this thread? If you have a bad story about AQ why not post it? If they have wronged you so bad you want them to crash and burn i dont think that will happen by posting on the internetz!

You seem determined that every positive post is a plant and no matter what anyone else posts you wont be convinced otherwise but whats the point getting worked up about it? Do you really have such an empty life?

Theres so much choice for car buyers these days if their business model or service sucks, you know what? They will fail, just like a lot of companies do.

I still maintain buyer beware, even with new cars you will get lemons. If something doesnt feel right, just walk away.

As you must know, there is no such thing as "buyer beware" regarding retail transactions in the UK.

The law says that it is the responsibility of the seller to ensure that:

    * The product is exactly as described in any published material

    * The product is free of defects when it is purchased

(Trades Descriptions Act and Sale of Goods Act)

In other words, the law says that it is the seller that must beware.

The legal phrase is caveat vendor.

These are not "grey areas" or "optional extras." These are laws that protect our citizens against theft and exploitation by thieves and gangsters.

By suggesting that these laws do not exist, you are trying to undermine hundreds of years of struggle by brave people who have brought our laws to this stage. You are spitting in the face of the legal rights of British citizens.

Why are you seeking to do this?

Just to make a few quid from selling a crappy ex-leasing car??

    That really is obscene.
