Used the £9 offer many times,[sadly this one i will miss as we will already be in Inverness on a 3 day break for £27.]
But Edinburgh TLs quite often in the offer but sadly not in August when the Tattoo is on. The TL we will be using for that is over £100 a night.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -
I tried to book a 4-day break yesterday on the Travelodge web Site. It refused to accept my username and password. Despite renewing the pasword several times, simplifying it as far as it would go, at no point would it accept it. I then tried booking and registering with a new email address. I got as far as having entered letters for my memorable name when it hung. After an hour I tried using the website form to find out if I had been charged. All I got was an auto-response. I then walked to my local Travelodge for help. All they could do was give me the number for central reservations - 10p+ per minute. After a message that went on for over a minute they said the call centre was closed due to "technical difficulties". Dicovering that my new details had not been set up, I set them up first. This time when I tried to book it hung before asking me for my memorable name info.
I tried again today and could not get access to either of my accounts, and still no response from "customer services". I then phoned the hotel direct and they told me they had had a lot of calls from people with the same problem as mine, and gave me the number for central reservations as they were unable to take a booking. I tried that number again with the same result as yesterday. That automatic message gave their customer service email address. I tried there and eventually got another autro-reply telling me to use the form on their web site!
the hotel told me it was a new web site. What kind of people use a new Web Site for a major promotion without checking for bugs?
the whole business has been a nightmare and a complete waste of time. A company should have at least 1 person contactable when things go wrong. They should also disable access to the Web Site until the bugs are fixed.
I still don't know if I have had my account deducted and if so, how many times. I tried using Firefox AND Internet Explorer so they don't appear to be browser-specific problems.0 -
i called 01844 358500 and an auto reply told me to phone 08700 850950 for reservations. I called that number and another auto reply told me to call 0871 984 84 84 as that number had been discontinued. Call 0871 984 84 84 and you are told that the office is closed due to technical problems. I give up!0

Its work remebering that they often stagger when they relase the rooms so not all rooms on offer will be available at 6am thursday.
I got a few rooms in London in December for £9 and the dates I was looking at I could of stayed whole week for £9 a night. These dates only became available about 3 days after the sale officially started.:j0 -

I had the same problems with the website - When I called customer services the nice man said it was "all up the spout" in a way that suggested their technical guys were in headless-chicken mode in the run up to Thursday.
The number for Customer Services - 08701911600 does still work and is included in many free calling packages (certainly BT's)
The main head office no. 01844 358500 (ask for reservations / customer services) does still work, they probably won't like lots of calls to put through - but then they shouldn't have started using a revenue-generating 0871 number should they?
Once booked, you can check with the location direct to see if it's on their system (number is on each locations 'info' page)0 -

for edinburgh try the end of august, last year we got a 9 quid room on rose street on the 29th and 30th of august. most shows for the fringe are done by then but there were still some on so worth a look beforehand to see if there is anything worth it on then and check and see if TL is offering those rooms cheap near the end of the month0 -
I'm so hoping for a Fri/Sat/Sun at Bristol end of May but bet they only offer Fri and Sun cheap and don't want to pay £70 odd for Sat!
I also need a weekend London break 20th August - really hope to get something! It's to attend a festival in Kensington on the Sun but anywhere fairly central London to stay will be ok as tube is so good.
Wonder what my chances are?
Will leave the netbook on by my bed and set my alarm for 3am!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

When did you phone 01844 358500? As I said, I was told to call the other number.
What page of their Web Site did you find 08701911600 on, please?0
